As I understand it, Toy Arena was the dealer who bought 100+ sets of the Junkions, leading to a premature sell-out very early on Saturday.

For what it's worth, that headband was pretty much useless. Go to a craft store and buy a spool of thin ribbon in the color of your choice for about fifty cents. TA-DA! Instant headband.

Noticed that myself, it doesn't even fit the head properly and looks more like...an unwrapped turban?
Darkmount's currently going for $80 on eBay if you look hard enough to boot.

A plain old twist tie off a loaf of bread actually works pretty well as a headband.

Re: Toyarena News: BotCon 2012 Exclusives Now Available
Nice story to bad all the prices from them are a joke! On Ebay ALL of them can be had for less. Except the Junkions. They are going for anywhere between $140-180. But the rest are just extortionist prices. I know another seller who bought at least 100 of every set as well. Makes it a joke to us collectors, then of course IF the TFCC even puts them up they will be hard to find. Their site is so jacked up you couldnt find the link if you tried. I thought the entire point of a Collectors Club, was for the "collector" to be able to get exclusives etc. Right now as usual it is aimed at the scalpers etc. I got screwed out of the Runabout and Overdrive this year due to their site being "Hacked". I had the order filled out and sent. Just waiting for a confirmation number for 2 days. Checked back and all where sold out while their site was jacked up. So I called to get the figures reserved or whatever they could do, a back list? something? the woman was supposed to put me on a waiting list for cancelled orders etc. Well they never got back to me in the 4 times I emailed them. Pisses me off that their screw up not only cost me the exclusives for club price. But it also led to my checking account(DEBIT CARD) being hacked last month to the tune of Thousands of $$, canceled card, bank fees, a huge mess!! And the only thanks TFCC gives us is a "Sorry"! I think getting those exclusives to buy would be a nice pay back for starters and a discount on something at the least!! And this is what US collectors that have memberships get? We have to resort to the scalpers and other rich bastards that buy everything up and have to pay double or more to get the stuff. When we now are Members of the club and pay its bills, we get screwed!!! Im a little more then pissed off this year!!!! Its bullshit!!!!

Whats funny aout the headband is that it breaks..It's not even fabric but more like candle wax..I saw several people who had bought that little bandanna( mind you it was $5 at the con) only to have it break within seconds..
Funny story about Toyarena..I dont think they bought 100 sets.. They were standing behind me on thursday night and their plan I believe was to give people who actually didn't want to get the junkions( yes there were some) money to buy a set for them so technically they didn't buy 100 sets but rather explored alternate routes of securing said Junkions
They did have a ton of staff with them and dealers got 3 sets..Alot of people abused the limit but all in all, if you want a figure bad enough you either pay secondary market or are lucky enough to have a friend( like me
) secure one for you

$150 for Straxus? Are you f**king kidding me? $50 at the most! That's probably why I will never own that figure. I am a repeat customer of ToyArena, but this is turning me off from buying from them anymore. How f**king greedy can you get?

In regards to the cost of the headband....

I think I would just run to Jo-Ann Fabric and get a ribbon.

Haha, I was more appalled at the markup than actually wanting it. I plan to do just that, or as El Duque mentioned, a twisty tie. Just outrageous. Same with Over-run, markups are laughable. I want him, Runamuck is lonely, but I have self control... currently.

This is probably a stupid question but because I live in Australia, I wouldnt be able to go to SDCC (Im 15) and therefore I would be unable to purchase the properly coloured FOC Bruticus. Would Toyarena sell properly coloured Bruticus (even for a big price) or will I just be stuck with neon Bruticus.

Just ask a member from the US to buy one for you from HTS and send it to you.

I'm 15 too, and I live in Asia. That's worse.

Get a Generations wheeljack and spray it black. Works for me

^ Looks good! I could attempt that, I have two Wheeljacks. What are you doing for a head though? And on the clear smooth plastic of his chest/windshield do you use a primer, or what paint wont come off so easily? I have yet to try painting a full figure, I usually stick to small enhancements and weapons, so I only have paint markers.

How do these guys get hold of the sets so early anyways ??? Do they have a entourage of secret shoppers who committed to selling their Primus package sets in advance ??? Or is Funpub selling them stock intentionally ???
