Re: Transformers Platinum Edition Year of the Horse Optimus Prime & Starscream Listings on TRU Canada
I wish Hasbro would take the opportunity of the 30th anniversary as an excuse to push out some of the developed but never released very much fan-wanted items from Animated, etc. End of line stuff. Robot Heroes of Laserbeak, etc. Titanium Cliffjumper and Bumblebee in G1 spaceship form...
What other cancelled items am I leaving out here? Stuff they made prototypes and revealed, but didn't get around to putting out that would be awesome in the 30th line??
Ah well. Will try to go into this open minded. Maybe it will be a cool repaint.

Well, there's that Devcon from Energon Slugslinger that would've looked amazing had it been released as a BotCon exclusive as planned.
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

Yeah I want to more canceled Transformers Animated toys released. That would include bumblebee(recolor), Goldfire Grimlock, Waspinator(Bumblebee mold), Vortex Blurr, and Mudbuster Bulkhead that's all I can think of but hope I am wrong and their are more.

Cybertron Prime also has electronics, for his left cannon. However, it requires two AAA:

It cannot be Armada or Energon because they do not have Matrix of leaderships that fit inside of their chest. Cybertron Optimus does have a matrix for his chest but o didn't know he took triple A batteries. Does MP OPtimus have any room for batteries?

Next time you get a chance (convention or whatever) would you PLEASE pester them about that? I mean really, what a missed (and quite frickin' OBVIOUS) opportunity to do something cool that actually makes sense.

There are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. These toys started off as Chinese New Year exclusives by Hasbro Asia, and thus far have done the Dragon and the Snake. After the Horse, there's still the Sheep, the Monkey, the Rooster, the Dog, the Pig, the Rat, the Ox, the Tiger, and the Rabbit to do, and there aren't any signs of them stopping.Mindmaster wrote:I think the first Platinum Optimus Prime was good enough. But two? C'mon.![]()
"Platinum Edition" was just Hasbro US's way of justifying American releases of these Hasbro Asia exclusives. The first one, "Year of the Dragon" Ultimate Optimus Prime, wasn't even released as a Platinum Edition toy, but as a mere DOTM toy.

Honestly I'll be surprised if they go the distance with this. Twelve years seems like a long time for a toy company to be doing the same thing year after year.

I'll sacrifice all understanding of the term 'logic' if we don't get an Optimus Primal in '16. (And to anyone with a degree in zoology; yes, I know monkeys are not apes.
