Motto: "Doing things my own way and never giving up!"
I need that "I agree with Counterpunch!" icon, cause he wrote everything that I thought reading this topic.

I did learn from Alternators, now it's not only the thrill of the hunt, it's the satisfaction of getting things for a lower cost by purchasing them in stores.

Buy from --B-- on eBay

I am fortunate I guess in that certain financial difficulties and personal preferences prevent me from doing any hunting on eBay what so ever. At the very least it prevents my difficulties from becoming real problems.

I have known for a while now that the movie was only going to inflate prices on the secondary market. Which works in our favor in some ways and against us in others. For one should we decide to shrink or eliminate our collection we can easily make a profit on it, or at the least break even. On the other side though growing our collection becomes a much more difficult endeavour.

I still continue to live by an old rule I heard many years ago during the beanie baby craze. An expert on investments said that is isn't wise to invest in things like toys. When collecting the best thing it to collect things that YOU enjoy. If they increase in value that's great. But that should never be your investment plan. If you want to invest and gareentee you will make money then invest your money intellegently in things gareenteed to go up in value such as stocks or savings accounts.

That being said I know that if I sold my collection I could probably make 5 to 10 grand easy.
