My first topic here on seibertron.com... I apologize in advance if someone else has already done something like this, but I typed up a search and it didn't return anything immediate.

I did a small mod to the HA Sideswipe figure. It allows the his backpack kibble to be folded a bit further/under his hollow chest section. It'll give the kibble a few degrees of extra rotation on the swing bar. I just took a dremel and exacto knife and carved out the section which holds the swing bar under the hood.



I've also figured out two other possible configurations/positions to place the doors one so they look more sleeker (folded) and the other so it fills the hollow/gapping chest section.

The first version for the door placement will make Sideswipe look more like Sideways, but nonetheless still looks cool. After extending the doors you have pull/twist the doors behind the front quarter panels. You can twist them just a little so they're more vertical or twist them so they're pretty much up against Sideswipe's shoulders.



The second version for the door placement will require the same pulling and twisting as the first, but you'll have to twist the doors down further so they pretty much hanging vertically under the hood. After that if you like you can collapse the doors (un-extend them), so they take up less room. And before collapsing the section which forms the body you will have to swing the kibble so the door's are under the arms and chest section. This second door placement will cover up the hollow chest section and make Sideswipe look nice from the front, but not so much from the side and back as it will make the remaining kibble protrude more.



Oh and for those two side swing bars which were used to "hold the backpack kibble in place" I just swung them forward under his arms. I was thinking about modding them so they could swing up vertically because they have nice detail, but felt like there was already too much kibble behind the shoulders and nothing underneath.
