Here is another quick design-I decided to do hound next, i thought that instead of holograms he would have loads of pockets to carry all kinds of things-so that in a crisis or a combat situation he could nearly literally make something out of nothing.

also did a quick setch of how soundwaves head might look, i trid to keep the silouette the same-the headphones oughta be of a military type issue, so that he could be a groups coms officer. He will probably have pets, a semi feral large cat and a bird whom he is close to. There is always something else to do aint there!

I reckon this thread should be remade as the first art contest thread-get every artist here to redesign the characters and plotline. Fun!!!!!!

GrimSqueaker, I like the Hound ("Solid Jeep?"). The Megatron's a bit too Luke Skywalker for me though. He's just too friendly looking.

Another thing I don't get is the picture of Bumblebee, and why he's a little kid.

He was a badass! He was the first person in the show to ever shoot at a Decepticon, and he shot at a group of Seekers! And the only reason no one died there was because it was an '80s kids show, and parents would be up in arms if he had.

Optimusprive i wouldnt use the windows paint tool to colour in pics-it gives no dept and it always leaves those little white pixels near the edges if u flood fill-i have tried playing around with it to get some sort of result, and besides usine the smallest paint brush head and filling in each pixel by hand it is damn near impossible to get a decent result.

Although if anyone does have a method i am all ears.

If all you've got to work with is MS Paint, then your best hope is to up the contrast when you scan the image. Scanning it as a document can sometimes do the trick if contrast controls are unavailable.
Also, save it as a bitmap, and it shouldn't have the resolution to preserve the color variation that's causing those white halos.

I've got really basic tools to work with, and not alot of time to fool with them in. Someday I'll learn paint.net or something. Mainly, I just use it to give an idea of what I'm going for. I'm an okay sketcher and fair basic cartoonist. I have no sense of shading or depth in my art anyhow. I leave art to the artists, I'm just a fan.

(oh, and to get rid of the line-halos, if I had the time, I could use the color-replace function on the eraser tool after dialing it down to 16-color bmp)

jazz and blaster should have been black. and i think this would work better if they were more .. hmm superhero or martial in body built. everyone is pretty much built the same. i'd think Prime would be more muscular then sunstreaker.

Wow, these are really cool drawings.
Reminds me (someone's already mentioned this) of the episode "Only Human" where the Cobra dude made them all people. I thought that episode was really cool, i wanted to see Galvatron as a human though ;-;
