I don't get Botshots
What's the appeal of Botshots? As far as I can tell they have no articulation and and are about as fun as triggerbots (not much). True I don't own any and don't wish to but I would like someone to explain the appeal.

Okay.
First off.
Triggerbots are awesome and shut up.
As for the topic at hand, they're just fun little things. I mean, my only interest in them was to snag Powerglide to fill the hole on my G1 shelf.
I can certainly see the appeal though, they're just cute little chibified versions of our favorite characters.

We older fans constantly ignore that Transformers are a kid's franchise. The toys are made to appeal to children, not us. Therefore, I definitely see the appeal. They bring a fun, rock-paper-scissors-esque game to the Transformers universe. It's fun for kids to bash toys like they have no sense.

I think it's Hasbro's attempt to cash in on the popularity of Bakugan. I wouldn't mind them if they didn't take up so much shelf space. There's barely any room for deluxes because of these and the cyberverse figures.

My local Wal-Marts and Targets have tons of Deluxe pegs...but no Deluxes. Christmas shoppers.

I don't really get it either, but Ive bought a handful of them. I haven't seen new ones in forever, and I'm happy about that. I think it was a fun little idea, but my approach was just to grab the ones of characters I like, sort of a character completionist approach. The last ones I bought were Skywarp and the clear Shockwave, but if those were the last of them, I'm ok with that. As some of you other guys have already said, they really do take up too much room in the toy aisle.

Much like cyberverse figures, the things sell like CRAZY. So while they may "take up too much room." Retailers don't care what you think.

Yeah, I know, and please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't care what retailers think. I care primarily about what I think. I'm not saying stores should stock them less if they're making money off these little guys, but I'd prefer if they'd stock more stuff I was interested in. I hope lines like Botshots and things like Cyberverse figures sell well, as it ultimately means we'll get more product in the future, but that doesn't mean I must like the little things.
Someone else mentioned Bakugan or whatever, and toy aisles have become gathering places for these kinds of little game-based figures, and that's fine. But it doesn't mean that I've got to start loving those rather than actual action figures.

no one said you had to love them, but if the deluxes don't sell all that well a store isn't going to routinely buy them. What gets my goat is when the same 4 or 5 worthless deluxes sit on the shelf for weeks on end with no new stock coming in to fill the otherwise empty deluxe pegs. An employee at Target once told me that if their computer registers they have certain number of figures on the shelf, they can't order more. It doesn't matter if the figures are all Bumblebee and have been sitting there for two months, if the computer reads they have over the minimum amount, there's not much one can do.

I know, and as I said, I didn't mean that in any kind of crappy way. I was just saying. I'm hoping that people don't take offense.
