ok, so....I`m posting this from my DSi, so no pictures (yet) but WOW! he's a transformer done right, and he's in scale with HFTD Sideswipe, and his beautiful blue re-paint (more or less) so get them both! one for sideswipe, and the other to be his evil decepti-twin Quickstrike, err, Darksteel. no regrets, totally worth every penny!

Can't look past that walrus head of his, nor can I see any resemblance to Quickstrike.

I think it's a beautiful repaint, and his weapon is awesome.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this weapon. I think it was a good idea, and I like the twin blade one, but it just doesn't really fit into his hands real well, and he can't use both the mech tech junk and his arm swords togehter. I know he doesn't have to use them both simulatenously, but it seems stupid to have the big gimmick mech tech feces be incompatible with a feature of the figure.

He still is somthing to look at though.

I found one too and to my surprise the only one at the TJ Maxx I went to. Now I had written off this TF after countless reviews, comments, and actually holding the packaged item in store. But something about this guy kept my attention in the back of my mind. I could care less of the representation of this fig cuz to me it's a whole new TF and nothing more

So after seeing him for only $6.99 the choice was made and it was a good one. I'm glad I held out on getting a great deal on a cool TF I now humbly admit. I admit on being wrong on making final decistions on what TF to get for example GDO Springer. I thought my having zero interest was true but I was so wrong, a great figure indeed.

I only wish this TF had a better head sculpt and better weapons. The crap (which got tossed out quickly) they gave him for weapons you could either scratch your ass with or pick your teeth, but don't use it for both.

To me his head looks more bird like so I may consider calling him Condor or Talon and dub someone else Darksteel.

So I end my ramblings saying that this is a good TF. The mold is perfect as oppose the Sideswipe fig. IMO the articulation is as good as Sidearm Sideswipe and the paint apps are cool...'nuff said! :VEHI:

He's got the gold and the blue, along with a styalized movie version of Quickstrike's head. It's a movie version of Quickstrike. The weapons are supposed to resemble his snake fangs and stinger tail. I can see Quickstrike being homaged heavely. But his name's Darksteel.

He's on my prime shelf next to Thundertron holding the Star Seeker's Flag. Makes sense to me "Dodges Pies"

There is metalic blue on the body too, along with alot of yellow and a bit 'o' gold. Very quickstrike.

grabbed hime when he first came out, on the cheap with a coupon, and have not regretted it since.
cool ass paint scheme on this one, enough so i went back and grabbed a Fuzors Quickstrike to complement it.

Has anyone else noticed some dried up goop on their Darksteel? I wish I could better describe it and I don't have a camera or Facebook. I spotted this on both side view mirrors around them like some type of dried up adhesive perhaps... :???:

I've tried to ignore it but I'm tempted to try scratching it off. :VEHI:

I -have- Darksteel, in my hands right this second as a matter of fact.

And, to clarify, I meant the side review mirrors, I don't know why I said windows. xD But I'm sure you know what I meant to begin with.
