Has anyone else hate those twisty things they put on the TF packages? It always takes me forever to get a TF out of the package! It's annoying and I hate them. I can understand putting them there, but why in such ridiculous ways? They twist them then tie them into 17 different knots!

Wire cutter for plastic ties.
It's really not that hard to get them out of the box. I've been cutting the wires to get them out since Armada.

But lately these ties are on like everything. My daughters toys even. And just when you think you've cut all the ties, there's another one in hiding.

My mom keeps a knife in her purse...that's normally what I use if I do cut them. But IDK. It's easier to cut them but I usually don't.

the plastic ties I found easier to un-twist.
the newer twist ties are harder to un-tie because their in knots & not twist like the old twist ties.
I use a scissor to un-knot the new style twist ties.
I liked the old plastic style twist ties. because they were also easier to re-seal toys back inside the box.

what bugs me more is the little invisible rubber bands they use sometimes. I've had more than one toy end up a little deformed by these things pulling on soft plastic, and also had a few times where I've been mid-transformation by the time I've realised there's still one there!
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

but yup i agree wit' ya craggy about dem rubber bands, theyre basically to make a fig's kibble stay in place and thus make it look better.
the only use i have come up with for them is locking mechtechs out but even that they fail at...>:(

Yup, that's happened to me!
I preferred the old wire/plastic ties cos at least I could use them in kitbashing eg Barricade.

Plus, the more environmentally-friendly than the plastic ties (though that's really somewhat of a moot point when you consider the amount of plastic that went into the figure itself, but a little is better than none at all).

I dis-like the newer twist ties for the MAIN REASON. That the material used feels like wet cotton's balls/swabs & makes that annoying friction feel on the fingers when you try to un-knot the newer twist ties.

These modern toys with their ties and such, bah, untying the plastic ones tended to shred my fingertips if I opened too many figures at once. At least the stupid paper ones are super easy to cut through with the mini scissors on my pocket knife.
And I too know the pain of thinking all those clear "rubber" bands are removed, only to come across more while transforming. It's a conspiracy!
