Do I have any fellow zombie Transformer collectors out there that can't Reveal the Shield?

I must be a zombie...
I must be a zombie, because I can't Reveal the Shield!
It's not like this is new, since I could never get rubsigns to work very well on Beast Wars and Classics figures. I just figure that it must be a lack of body heat, and since I'm clearly not dead, I must be undead.

Yeah, I can't get them to work either. But I've died before so I am a zombie.

I am not sure if you are actually rubbing but I find it easier to just hold my finger on them for a few seconds. Seems to work much better than actually rubbing them.

Yes, they shouldn't be referred to as rub signs as they're heat sensitive, not friction sensitive.
Have you tried soaking your hands in warm water for a few minutes first?

I remember I used to breathe on mine to get them to work. [The rubsigns, not zombies.]

I've never had problems with the older lines (either rubbing, holding or blowing), but this batch for "Reveal the Shield" are tough as hell to get to change.

I've tried that, as usually that helps. But the RtS ones are a real bugger to get to change. But if I'm a zombie, still no body heat.

I have no real care for the whole "shield" gimik or zombies for that matter. But it would have made more sense to me for Hasbro to have simply used the same form of symbol rubs that were used for both "G1" and the first "Classics" wave. I think back to when I first got "Classics" Rodimus and the rub fell right off after opening. I was meaning to fix it and I soon lost it. But Starscream has his, Prime has his and so on.
I just think they look better and rub easier then these current versions. But with new TFs like Jazz and Tracks they easily draw all attention from the "shield"....'nuff said.

It doesn't mean you're a zombie, it means you don't have a soul, get it right! lol
Anyway, when I have trouble working one, I find the breathe on it a little and try again technique to work very well.
And, gotta disagree with you there, Nemesis Destron, I like the current "shaped" version better than the old "gray border" version at least lookswise. I haven't noticed any difference in how easy (or not) they are to get to work.

Good to know you've got experience on your side
No problems here, but I'm still waiting on a few as presents. Here's hoping, I like my pulse ;_;

Lick 'em. Your tongue is hotter than your skin, it'll light that rubsign right up. Sanitize toy as necessary.
FWIW I like the old square rubsigns better, but no complaints.
