That said, I recently saw the Ironhide/bee hive return picture, and I laughed for days. I'm not interested in stories of sales people being disinterested/uninformed. What I'm interested in is the idea that someone would see a chunk of bee hive in a package that depicts a robot van on the back, TRANSFORMERS in a rather large printing and numerous other fairly obvious clues that the box is not supposed to contain a bee hive, and yet take the return anyway.

Now, onto the moral issue of it...
It takes a special breed of person to pull that kind of crap. Not that it's right or anything, but I'd be far more ...well, I'm not sure what I'd be, about this kinda thing if it was a redeco of the same figure, or a slight remold, because it's at least in the same ballpark.
But this? This is ridiculous. The Ninja Megazord in place of another toy, or the beehive thing? I don't even know how to put it into words.
But, this problem won't end until we have knowledgeable people running the customer service desks. Once they're in place to stop this, things will get better.
Before someone says "Oh, you can't expect them to know everything!" , well...I don't. I do expect them to have a working knowledge of what products they offer. There is no credible reason for the cashier at the front desk to look st the package and clearly see it's supposed to be a black pickup truck, and instead it's a BEEHIVE. A BEEHIVE.
There is no excuse for the cashiers and customer service agents to be that out of touch with their product.
That's not just stupid, it's simply not good business.
It's despicable for someone to take advantage of that, sure. It's also reprehensible that management wouldn't educate their employees better, so they don't lose money.
Now, in this case, I can understand why a cashier wouldn't pay attention to the differences. At first glance, they're both silver cars, and if you don't know that the characters/toys are different, then you might just let it slip past you. This one's reasonable.
Wrong of whoever did it, but at least somewhat reasonable of the customer service.

C'mon people, have some class!
I saw the PCC Combaticons with a soldier action figure in the commander's place. Makes me sick.

Yeah, this is why we should all apply for jobs at TRU or department stores.

That is dependent on when it was placed on the rail. I would be very surprised if it was at the front of the rail for more than a day before it was spotted by whoever took the picture.

I am happy to not live there for once, opening a toy for the first time is a privilage I don't want to see go.
I blame whoever came up with the saying "the customer is always right" because they've abused the hell out of it. I once heard a lady try to play that card to get in the store 20 minutes after we closed.

Yeah but that's three of the same alt mode. One should be an orange and the other maybe a potato.
