SPOILERS FOR CW part 4

Between the personality bleed from non-Constructicon members of Devastator (seen in Prowl), Scoop's recruitment into their ranks, and Starscream's seemingly offhand but potentially foreshadowing remark about giving him a new paint job, plus the CW Devastator toy being based on the classic format and how closely the comics adhere to the toy designs..... who thinks Scoop is going to be rebuilt into Scrapper 2.0?

I can see it. Scoop has definitely shown to have the willpower to control Devastator off the bat. But no way it would be a long time solution as I doubt the rest of the Constructicons are going along with it as willingly as they would be if it was Prowl.

Speaking of which I kind of still on board with Crosscheck's theory that Scrapper's conscience is hidden deep in Prowl's mind and that Prowl is either going to turn into Scrapper or somehow separate from Prowl based on Prowl's strange mannerisms and increasing size which has had him gone from a Nissan 370z to a full blow armored SUV.

Well my theory is that the personality bleed will affect Scoop to the point where Scrapper mentally revives inside of Scoop and eventually rises to dominance, suppressing Scoop and causing him to adopt green and purple.

Ah so you think Scraper's personality is still in Devastator where as I think it jumped ship into Prowl. Guess we'll find out if Scoop starts acting strange in the upcoming issues.

Since Scrapper is a part of Devastator, I think it sticks with Devastator. Certainly, it influences Prowl, and it's definitely eating at him, but I don't think that precludes it infesting Scoop as well. Only, since Scoop fits Scrapper's physical design more (4 wheeled front loader that turns into a foot), I think he's destined to become the new Scrapper's body, regardless of what they do with Prowl.

Marketing wise you're probably right, but story wise IMHO it be better with Prowl, unless they go the route that Scoop's influence steers Devastator more towards neutrality.

I kind of agree, but I also think Prowl is too big of a player to off him.
Then again I would have said the same about Bumblebee, so we'll see what happens.

Hmmm not going to lie, I was dreading this story element as this could mean bad things in store for cyclonus.

is it wrong that I want prowl to eventually turn into an antagonist?

Devastator, Defensor, Superion, Menasor, and Ultra Prime are all the combiners we're seeing in the storyline. Galvatronus is, for now, toy-only. No need for concern.

It's so good to see Sarah Stone's art again. But damn, poor Swindle (not words I thought I'd ever say). He's just been used by Starscream repeatedly and all he wants is his due. His methods aren't great, but then, he's tried to get help before and just been spurned. So inciting a riot to move to Caminus or other worlds and then getting shot, well..... that's just unfortunate, although he's probably still alive since they need to make Bruticus eventually.

Seems that the implication of Prowl controlling Ultra Prime (for now) were correct. Meanwhile Devastator seems to be having an identity crisis, with Scoop's goals clashing with the hive mind that just wants devastation. Speaking of Scoop, he's apparently gotten that new paint job in the (nonexistant) time since last issue, since we can see Devy's right leg is green instead of orange.

And at last, we have all our combiners in one place, ready to throw down. Hopefully it's a good conclusion.

Thinking about it, TAV Roadblock may have 3 potential places in someones collection, Adventures roadblock, Neo-Classics G2 Roadblock, and IDW Constructicon green Scoop.

Are we sure this is Sarah Stone? This does not look completely like her art and she was supposed to do a previous issue but needed replaced. This doesn't look like her to me.

Where is she? I've greatly missed her art and I was really hoping her fantastic style could lay out a great finale. I'm kinda sad now...

Thanks to a tip from fellow Seibertronian SW's Silverhammer, we have the iTunes sneak peek at next week's conclusion to the IDW Combiner Wars arc, in Transformers: Windblade #3! And there is Optimus Maximus, with Prime inexplicably white after last issue.

Art foibles aside, I'm interested in seeing how all this plays out, particularly where Optimus and Prowl end up by the conclusion of this. I hope that Prowl will finally see some consequences for his actions. Optimus really needs to take a step back and try to reign in his natural inclination to take charge. He is a good leader, but if he truly wants a democratic government he needs to let the people choose him rather than either impose his will through a military government (Bumblebee's mistake) or by allowing himself to be seen as a religious figure (the mistake he is making now).

So then...is Sarah Stone no longer with the franchise? Having a new regular artist sounds that way to me. Does anybody know what for?

I don't like the art. No, seriously, that style could be ok, but not given how the rest of Combiner Wars has looked. In the context of this story, I passionately dislike how this looks.
