I'm curious as to who you think has done more than the two primary TF comic writers. Given no one came before them

No one did more to make TF comics viable, to flesh the characters out beyond toy bios and one dimensional Sunbow interpretations.

The cartoon was leagues better than anything Furman wrote.

Daniel Adkins wrote:Furman is like any other person who works on a single franchise for an extended period of time. They write some good stuff, some bad stuff, and often as time goes on finds they find themselves running out of ideas and spinning their wheels. It happens to most creatives. Even Shakespeare eventually wrote Henry VIII.

Good One! But seriously though, The Real Answer? Considering the best Sunbow ever achieved was The Movie, no one actually rates the writing...

Galactic Prime wrote:The real answer is that there isn't a Transformers comic written that's as good as "More than Meets the Eye" or "The Ultimate Doom".
We all know that the Cartoon is the definitive version MOST people remember when it comes to G1. More people saw the cartoon than read the crappy comics. More people want to meet the voice actors of the toon than the bozos like Furman who write the books.
That right there says which is definitively better.
It's fine if you want to like the comics and Furman's bad writing, but claiming his writing is better is pure nonsense.![]()

I don't think you even like Transformers...
I also think those Rose Tinted Googles are on too tight. All G1 cartoons and comics were bad, to varying degrees. Good enough to sell toys to 3-10 year olds, that's it. For an adult to think otherwise.. is just precious.
Anyway back to Unicron. How long after FCBD until the series proper starts?

What if Unicron is hunting down and eating the planets that Shockwave planted ores on? He planted those ores there as they were the resting place of the 13 Primes, and what if Unicron tries to eat them so as to gain power to defeat Primus with ease

The thing is (A) We don't even know if a rivalry exists between Unicron and anybody within IDWverse?, and (B) Cybertron/Primus summoned him. So maybe Unicron is Cleaning House for Primus. All the planets "touched" by the Transformers?

Would explain the new hot spots, Primus wanting to start over?

This is all making too much sense.
It's not going to happen.
