Okay, so I have noticed for about the last six months or so, that whenever we get a new comic issue preview, the little discriptive blurb states that there is a HUGE event coming up in 2013 for the current comic series.

As tense as everything is with the current issues, I can't help but wonder what it is. I think that it might have something to do with Unicron, given the respective Annuals passive mentioning of him.

But I want to hear YOUR thoughts, Seibertronians. What could this epic happening possibly be?

I think this is supposed to be the Shockpoint (/Dark Cybertron/Purple Reign) thing.

Or at least, Shockpoint is the name that is wafted around when 'big event' is also mentioned.
I'm trying to avoid all the hype, especially the one coming from comic publishers, just to be on the safe side.
But I have to admit I'm a little excited.


I'm hoping for a complete retcon, actually. Shockwave goes back in time, and makes sure the war does not end. BAM.

It's almost certainly Optimus catching up to Shockwave, the two exchanging some banter about the latter's past, and then Shockers revealing his ultimate plan...

...which is almost certainly not related to time travel. Sorry Va'al.

I'll lay odds on it involving other Regenesis worlds, and new supplies of energon for, say, an armada of sparkless drones loyal to Shockers, or some new ultimate superweapon thingamijigger.

Hm. Possible, yes, possible.

But Jhiaxus is using a time travel device, right?
Shockwave may or may not be after him, as his Orion Pax. So there might be some time travel involved.

As for sparkless drones, someone suggested the Legislators being connected to Shockwave, too, and that Skids may be involved in some way, being an ex-Instituter.

Shockwave teams up with Scorponok to revitalize the Machination Empire?

Well, no, probably not, but Scorp's been out of circulation long enough that it's time to put him back in somewhere, guys.
