Allo all, I'm new to the board but I've sorta watched it for the past couple weeks. Just decided to join tonight and share some finds I made, plus its sorta in reply to someone who said that Rockford never see's anything past wave 1.

Walgreens-corner of 11th st and Sandy Hallow has 1 Breacher and 1 Insecticon {
Walgreens on the corner of N.Main and Alpine has a Oilpan and Animated Ratchet NOT the Cybertronian/Ironhide repaint version.
Walgreens on Charles St down the street from East High School has 1 Breacher and 2 Oilpan's {Also found Terradive, was the only one however}
Walgreens on the corner N.Second st and N.Main has an Animated Ratchet {Again not the Cybertronian version}
Walgreens on E.State closer to downtown across the street from Heavenly Tattoos has ROTF Deluxe Soundwave, 2 Rampage, Brawl and a couple Scout class Deadends.
Walgreens by Saint Anthonys Hospital had nothing worth getting. But don't count it out as a place that good **** MIGHT pop up.
Walgreens by CherryVale Mall had nothing worth getting.

Been collecting for only a couple months. I hadn't gotten back into Transformers until I picked up War for Cybertron, and then I spotted the WFC Optimus Prime at Target. And I've been hooked ever since, I didn't really get into the movie line at first. But I bought one, then I found myself buying another...and another...and another. And so my collection has grown with a mix of Generations, ROTF, HFTD, RID, Universe, and Alternators I've randomly found in small store or aquired on ebay. My collection has topped...over....35 as it stands last time I counted, but I could be wrong. Tho I've been a fan of the comics, the cartoons, ect since I was a kid and I never thought at 28 I'd be buying toys again.

Otherwise, besides being a giant nerd who I'm thankful my girlfriend supports 100% since she collects cutesy crap like Skelanimals and such. I'm just an average unemployed citizen of Illinois that serves with the 333rd Military Police out of Freeport once every month.

Gorechyld, dude we have to get together and compare notes...I NEVER would have thought to look in Walgreens for TF figs. I'm in the I-90 and Riverside area of Loves Park. If you ever want tickets to the Ice Hogs, let me know and I'll hook you up as I work for the team! Will be nice to actually meet a fellow Seibertronian!

On the sightings side, I actually can report that the Wal Mart in Belvidere on Genoa Road has the latest Marvel Crossovers- Spiderman and Ghost Rider. I didn't pick him up because I ordered him from Hasbro Toy SHop (with Breacher and Insecticon) so he is still on the shelf. He really looks sick!

Ryan, think we should try to put an unofficial Chicago-area Christmas gathering together in the Burbs somewhere? Just a random thought I had...

Can I get potential RSVPs so I can have an idea of how many there would be please (for ALL peeps on the Illinois forum...and maybe even the Wisconsin forums if they wanna make the roadie)? ANd would Saturday or Sunday work better? I'm thinking December 4th would be an ideal date...not late enough to interfere with potential office holiday parties, and early enough that traffic to Woodfield won't be too horrid from holiday shoppers...

Normally that Saturday would be great but I won't be available on that date, nor the 5th. If it works for you guys sans me, then I can just catch up the next time.

toysrus has door busters today and saturday human alliance 50% off so $17.49 each and the legends class buy 1 get 2 free.
and i saw hailstorm at the algonquin walgreens off 25 by my house but it was 14.99

Hmmm..would Friday nights work better? We really can't have a Seibertron get together without Seibertron himself there...

Hey guys, just letting ya know that I just got back from the Walmart up on E.state in Rockford. And they had 1 Tomahawk {which I grabbed lol} 2 Electrostatic Jolts for anyone that actually LIKES that mold. And 1 Terradive, I sorta hide him in the "back" of the pegs, so if you're in Rockford and go looking for him, be sure to actually dig a little. But if it's not there, then its gone for sure.

Friday nights work for me as well, though I'd prefer to stay away from that weekend if possible. The only catch with Friday nights is you guys will have to do with rush hour traffic, unless we meet around 7 or 8ish.

Hey, I like ROTF Jolt! With some simple mods he really shines. None of the Walmarts around me have any of these new Deluxes, arg.

Fri night GTG would be OK exc. I'm alone w/ my kids until about 9:30 when my wife gets home from work. And to be honest, I'm not the night-owl I used to be, so that'd be pretty late for me to go hang out. But count me in-ish anyway.

And lastly, I hit a couple TRUs to see what they had as part of this weekend's sale. Didn't see any Legends I wanted, and no HA Jazz, which is the only one I'd like a second of. Two HA Barricades at the Downers Grove store tho. FWIW.

Seconded. That one is awesome. So much personality, and a really creative transformation. I've already decided I'm getting the redeco, regardless of how it looks. It's too great to pass up a second version.

Nooooooo no no. I hardly passed on Terradive. I already had him, my girlfriend got him for me at the Walgreens I mentioned in my sighting post. So its kinda been a good two weeks for me, found Battle Blades Prime {voyager class}, Terradive, Insecticon, Tomahawk all right here in Rockford.

Also picked up Battle Blade BumbleBee with Toma, and I gotta say I feel like I ripped off Hasbro. Cause it honestly feels like I paid for a Voyager class toy, when he's obviously a deluxe. And to think I debated and debated and debated getting him, cause now that I have him. I LOVE him, the fact that his hands are articulated just nnnngggh.....yeah....lmao.

Oh yeah ... forgot that Battle Blades Prime has been spotty at best. There were two of him at the Rolling Meadows Walmart yesterday around 3pm.

I agree with you about Battle Blade Bumblebee. I think he's a great figure. Underrated simply because we've been onslaughted with Bumblebee figures over the past 3.5 years.

I'm working on the Japanese version of this right now. Minor improvements to the toy, got rid of that brownish goldish colored plastic on him, which was nice. I'm indifferent on the blades. Only thing that really irks me is Takara Tomy's use of the American packaging on the Japanese toys. Yeah, I know it's got the sticker on the bottom of the package that gives it it's Japanese designation and all, but it's not the same.

When I buy a Japanese Transformer, I want it to have Japanese all over the packaging. At the very least, would it kill them to swap out the product images on the packaging to include their variant? Sidearm Sideswipe has the Hasbro version pictured on the back with the red flames (the Japanese version doesn't have flames on it, thank goodness) and Battle Blades Optimus Prime has the Hasbro product with the original "blades" / swords and the brownish goldish plastic on his legs and such.

Normally I save my Japanese packaging, but I flattened this packaging with the rest of my Hasbro packaging.

I picked up that TerraDive. Thanks for the heads up Gorechyld. I just happened to be leaving for Rockford a few minutes before checking the boards. Had to pick up a family member as we are heading up north to Eau Claire.

So if any one wants me to keep an eye out for them let me know. There is supposedly a TRU and Wal-Mart maybe a Target and ShopKo (last resort $19.99 for a deluxe my ass) right by our hotel.

But on the note of TerraDive I love this fig. He had the arm popping problem but I just kept working the should peg back in place and it eventually fixed itself.

And Freeport had a single Blurr and wave 1&2 Generations stuff and maybe 2 Dirges yesterday. Blurr was gone in a matter of a few hours when I came back after work.
