I've been wanting to post for awhile, but I've been a little busy for the past month. My wife gave birth to our own beautiful lil' mini-con Mia, or as my good friend Heidi pointed out - (M)y (I)nfant (A)utobot. Nothing in my world will ever be the same, and I couldn't be happier!!

Now, as for this all consuming hobby of mine, I'm planning on getting a little more active in the forums and I want to attach a pic to my screen name, as well as put a pic at the bottom of my posts (is this called a "sig"?) But due to my lack of computer knowledge, I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone help me figure this out. Also, how do I upload pictures and place them in my actual posts as opposed to just providing links to my pics? All help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance. - proud papa phatty

OK, I think i just figured out how to add an attachment, but still not sure about the other stuff. Also, I realized that this is probably the wrong forum to post this in, but it's the only one I really visit. Sorry to the mods. If you need to move, it go ahead.

To get a sig: Open an account on a photo sharing website such has photobucket, (The website that I use) Upload the pic you want and get the IMG code bellow the thumbnail ( this is for photobucket I'm not sure about other sites) and copy and paste it to your signature. The IMG size can only be up to 300x500 pixels either way and 40kb in size. And to get an avatar: find a pic that you like. It can only be up to 100x100 pixels and 9.77kb. Go to your UCP (User Control Panel) and go under profile and click on "Avatar" and upload the pic.

gratz on the baby. You can have pics in your sig through your control panel. You can either upload one or use url for it.

And to get a sig pic if you can't make one go to TFGD (Transformers General Discussion) and go to the Signature thread and request one.

1. Scroll up to the top of this thread

2. Find and click the 'User Control Panel' link

3. Click the 'Profile' tab in the User Control Panel

4. Click 'Edit Signature'

5. Put the following text into the sig area: [img]www.thepictureIwanttouseasmysig.J%20P%20G[/img]

5.2 replace the underlined part with the web address of your picture.

6. Click 'Edit Avatar'

5. Put the following text into the link to offsite avatar area: [img]www.thepictureIwanttouseasmyavatar.J%20P%20G[/img]

Sig rules are that pictures must be below 40k in size and 300x500 pixels in dimension. Avatar rules are that pics must be less than 10k and 100x100 pixels
