Those rule. I loved the Star Wars ones, still gotta get the Marvel ones. I can't wait.

They'll make neat decorations but thats about it. I'm not impressed with the toys but they're giving us the characters we love in G1 form. I think that merrits a few more little pvc guys cluttering up my shelves.

Cute and nicely sculpted, and all in all pretty nice for mini-figs. I may pick up a couple...
Now if they made transforming ones, I'd be alll over it.

I like these! I had no idea they were going to do these, though I had hoped. I'm pretty sure I'll be picking these up.

Whaaaa....??? It's been a while since I've dug-out my old Actionmasters (I don't even know where they are and don't really care) so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as I remember them they didn't have elbow or knee articulation. Just a cut joint at the neck and pin-mounted cut-joints at the shoulders and knees, like these do (but without the pins)... except these are pre-posed instead of perpetually standing at attention.
Also, they sure as hell weren't 'geared towards adults'. They were even less complex and more kiddiefied than earlier G1 Transformers.
EDIT: Whoops, they had hinge knees too. But still... the articulation sucked compared to G1 Joe.

I concur about the fans crying "Waah! Actionmasters Suxx0rs!!!111!!1!" stuff. The actionmaster series wasn't even part of the main TF line....they were fun little extras designed after TFs that already had transformable versions for years, except for a couple of characters like Rad. & from the few I own, they seem to be more geared towards banging them together to help kiddies simulate a TF battle without actually destroying their older versions that would fall apart by looking at it wrong. I know my bro & I played with his origninal Soundwave enough that it can't even stand upright anymore on its own, but the actionmaster Soundwave I own seems like it has an equal amount of wear & tear & can still stand up & is mostly still functional.
& as far as these are concerned....they're cute, they're durable, they're cheap, & they look like they'd be fun to play with. I'd say they serve their purpose in every way, & I would love to get every one.

What? Action Masters *were* the TF line in 1990 and '91 (except in the EU, where they were out alongside the Classics reissues- which actually makes good marketing sense. From hasbro Europe no less!).
EDIT: Whoops. Forgot about the year 2 Micromasters. Sorry Nem- though my point stands about AMs. They were as much of a main line as Pretenders or Micromasters, with dozens of items across multiple price points. They blew, but they were there nonetheless. Mind you, without AMs we would never have experienced the grandeur of the ultimate TF colour scheme- Action Master Thundercracker.
Anyway, these chaps are not my thing but I fully realise that people who like wee SD figures to put on their desks or collect on a shelf will be over the moon with these. If the rate at which the SW ones sell is any indication they'll be huge, and fair play to Hasbro for putting them out. All I ask is for Ark and/or Nemesis playsets like the Galactic Heroes Millennium Falcon and X-wing sets.

Sideshow- I don't think a shortage of transforming figures is going to be an issue this summer, somehow. In fact, there have already been a few cries of "how the hell am I going to afford all this?" from the figures that have been listed so far. And that's just the first couple of waves!

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
