Hong Kong based Transformers Fans Group on Facebook - Transformers Galaxy has posted the new in-package image of upcoming Transformers Dark Of The Moon Cyberverse Ultimate Gift Set.

This set consists of:
- Optimus Prime
- Powerglide
- Crowbar
- Bumblebee
- Sideswipe

No further information on the availability of this gift set.

Powerglide looks like a nice redeco, but Bee looks like another "Hey, look kids! Bumblebee looks super cool now! He's all stealthy and stuff! Buy it!" scheme. Optimus Prime has little to no changes, as does Sideswipe (but it is a bit more obvious that he has some more paint on him). Crowbar is, well, decent.

I don't know how Hasbro interprets "Bumblebee is a popular character" as "Bumblebee should be included in some form in every bundle we sell".

I have 3 legends class Bayformer Bumblebees, and I don't even collect Bayformers.

I'd love to see an Ultimate set be more like the 3 dreads (crowbar, Hatchet, and Crankcase) vs the 3 wreckers. I'd buy that one Hasbro

How does 1 Decepticon vs 4 autobots equal an ultimate Gift set? Should be more like the ultimate about to get your a%& kicked set.

An idea that probably would have sold better would have been the ultimate autobot set, getting rid of Crank case for Ironhide.

Oh, they got me. This is the perfect gift for my 3 year old! All in one package, figures I don't care about getting destroyed, but ones he will love. It's a buy. Not for collecting, but for finding under the couch next May with 5 missing pieces. :lol:

There's a good few of us who've been advocating those names since the repaints were revealed. Apparently no-one at Hasbro heard us

Joking aside though, I'm reckon it could be in Hasbro's benefit to have one of their employees spend a few hours scouring the major forums every now and again...

Again, joking aside, I'm tempted, largely by the fact I actually don't have but one of these molds, and that one's been repainted in the set.

just what we need more bumblebee and prime repaints, hasbro you've beaten this horse to a bloody pulp its time to get a new one. I do like crowbar & sidswipe but not enough to buy the set.

I agree, and it might just be me but that sideswipe looks a Sidearm Sideswipe repaint. But Optimus and Bumblebee are wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy to overused. just the movie trilogy we've gotten 9 Optimus molds not with repaints and god knows how many more Bumblebees. Hasbro should find better people to make. :BANG_HEAD:

.If they are going to recolor Bumblebee

Seriously why not at least make Bumblebee into a cliffjumper. I mean how hard would that be? Or Bugbite? I like Bumblebee and all as a character, but I didn't think he was so popular before all the movie baloney. Where is the love for all the other bajillion transformers?
