Over at Yahoo Japan auction, the Transformers Dark Of The Moon Shockwave toy has been listed by a seller.
In this listing, the toy is sealed in the Voyager class package.

From the back of the package, we can also see the Mech Tech weapon of Shockwave.

I wonder if they'll still be printing bios on the side of the package, rather than the back, as they did starting with HFTD Voyagers and Leaders.

Not 2 colors for this one folks. One color, one screw-up in the packaging. Come on, this is nowhere close to the first time that we've seen the picture totally differ from the box contents.

Now, isn't the whole point of a tank is that it is one mammoth, rolling BFG? Why bother with a MechTech Weapon when the freaking tank IS the weapon? They turned something that has been standard for all the other Tank TF's into a gimmick. I know Hasbro is pushing hard to get these toys back down into the lower range of their target demographic but if they aim any lower with some of their concepts and thinking, they'll be shooting dirt.
Maybe my kids can explain this one to me because I sure don't get it. Of course my kids are feeling a bit insulted by some of the selection Hasbro has been throwing out there lately too so maybe this should be a sign to the Hasbro suits that they may have missed the mark on some of their stuff.

hes a cool toy, but im still holding out for a G1 rendition for my shelf.

im not a MIB collector by any means so this doesnt really apply to me, but damn this is the ugliest packaging ive ever seen for a kids toyline ever! :SICK:

Hmmm...this is a Voyager, right? Anyone else notice the "TRY ME" on the package? What exactly are we supposed to be trying? Have they put electronics in the Voyagers now or are we supposed to test the MechTech stuff?

Blue? Either the box is wrong, or they snuck us with a purple prototype or color test. Either way, this will be one of the few DOTM figures I'm collecting. I actually plan on buying two. I have a friend, who shall remain nameless, that will be getting one these. He hates the movies with such passion as to not purchase a SINGLE Bayformer or anything else movie related. But he loves Shockwave. Hopefully when his blinding hate subsides, he will appreciate this tough rendition of old Cyclops.

Why do they keep changing the level (difficulty) number? Before was 1 to 5 and then 0 to 6 and now only 1-2-3?

I know they've said it's a voyager, but this one looks too much like a leader class. And I've never seen the "try me" on a movie voyager before.

Looks like leader class packaging to me. But then again, the DOTM line has changed so much from ROTF [mostly for the worse] that it probably IS voyager for all I know.

The Dark of the Moon MechTech voyagers will have a "try me" in-package feature. This is the first time movie voyagers will have it. It's there to help sell the whole "MechTech" concept.

okay...for those of you complaining it's blue: smack yourself really hard in the face! then, when you've recovered from that you can go back and look the first picture of the figure in the box and realize the figure is of PURPLE hue... :BANG_HEAD:
