I have a question on interchangeable weapons :O For example, I know that Cyberverse Commander Starscream's Weapons can attach to First Edition Starscream.
Does anyone know if RiD Bumblebee's weapons can attach to the FE one?
I've also heard talk that all RiD weapons can attach onto FE figures... is this true?
Thanks very much

RiD's BB weapons can fit the 1st edition, that's all I know

If I'm not mistaken all PRIME and RID weapons have some form of the standard 5mm peg, which can fit on pretty much all of the ports on the FE and RID figures. The 5mm ports and pegs are also backward compatible with many many other figures that feature the 5mm peg / hole.
Barring a few exceptions for certain figures here and there pretty much every single transformers line since Beast Wars has featured the 5mm peg/hole.
The main issue with fitting the weapons is clearance, some wepaons have parts specifically designed to adjust to certain figures areas, such as Ratchets swords adjusting to his wrists/arms.

I'm pretty sure 5mm holes became standard in Armada, not Beast Wars.

It's the truth though, if you're disagreeing. Most Beast Wars, Machine Wars, Beast Machines, and RiD figures did not have 5mm holes. While the majority of Armada figures had them. Aside from oddities like Sideways and Tidal Wave, the only Armada figures that didn't have 5mm fist holes were the Beast Wars repaints. Not including Minicon ports, of course.

I'm not disagreeing. As has been pointed out several times recently 5mm pegs have been standard since Armada and yet, as RPM716 says I keep saying, people just haven't got the hang of the idea.

5mm weapons can be found in many G1 figure weapons. Especially combiners, and G1 prime
Here's classics prime holding Preadaking's and Devastator's guns.

Oh! xD
It seems that they can't. Though it isn't exactly something that most people would pay attention tio anyway.

Classics and G1 Seekers can exchange their weapons.
Both can also use Double Targetmaster Nebulans.
Armada deluxe Optimus Prime can too.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Unicron didn't have them, but you can make him flip people off, so it's a worthwhile trade!

Lets put it this way then. 5mm pegs and holes have been around since G1. Yes G1 Prime had them and various other figures did too. But in a line as wide as G1 there were many that didn't have them.
The were standardized in Armada to be a line wide feature as much as possible.
For the record, the Minicon Ports and pegs are actually 5mm except they have the pin/hole in the middle.

Which is exactly why Armada made them standard, they tied into the Minicon thing. There are lots of random examples of 5mm pegs and holes in previous lines aside from the obvious. 5mm screw holes are fairly commmon in the early line and some older figures actually have hollow 5mm pegs for no apparent reason other than they do.

Like BW K-9! His shield is a perfect minicon attachment point.

There are still some exceptions for fistholes, where the fist are sometimes too small to fit a 5mm hole in it. IE classics Rodimus and Mirage. As well as the hole on Universe Sunstreaker's shoulder to mount the gun.
