A bunch of overpriced exclusives like Gentei Clear Starscream and Masterpiece Black Convoy. What's Hasbro got? The NEST subline? We don't even know what's going on with Animated. Are the toys going to be widely available? Is it gonna be a secondary line, because if so, then it won't be widely available. And after that? Power Core Combiners? Whatever that is.

C'mon mate, do you really expect to know everything Hasbro is doing for forseable future? Where's the sense of anticipation, imagination and what not? Every year in December we don't know what's exactly going on, but we always knows there's going to be Transformers. RotF just took a chunk out of our time and many fan's wallets. I'd probably wait till the good ole' Botcon - another 4-5 months - and see if anything is going to happen. If there isn't, then yeah, you can start panicking and swearing at Hasbro..

Don't get me wrong. I'm not angry at Hasbro or Takara. It's just that I'm not feeling the same way with ROTF like I did with past lines.

Yep, I'm pretty damn bored right now and have been for quite some time. I haven't bought many TF's since the ROTF toys came out. It's been so long I can't remember the last TF I bought. That's pretty bad. I *think* the last one I bought was Animated Lugnut (He was on clearance for $10, so I snatched him up.) There are a handful of TF's I've been wanting, problem is they're $50-$100+ each on average and I just don't have that kind of money to spend right now. I don't even go down the TF section of the toy aisle anymore b/c there's nothing new and it's clogged full of ROTF. Meh.

I think the reason the ROTF line has been kind of boring is because it's not new. There may not be anything wrong with the toys, but it's basically just more of the same 07 movie toys, just refined. With Beast Wars it was totally new and exciting. New toys, new characters, new factions, and exciting over-arching stories. With RiD you had a little bit of everything. Highly articulated, highly detailed with realistic alt modes and challenging transformations. With Armada it was the official return of Autobots vs Decepticons, plus there was the whole Minicon gimmick thing. Then Energon where every Autobot was a combiner and every Decepticon had some kind of attack mode, plus there was the Omnicon/Terrorcon thing with their weapon gimmick. Then Cybertron. Granted the cyber key thing was stupid, but the toys were amazing, and in many ways blazed the way for Classics. And finally Animated with it's radical departure from the tradition design ascetics we had known and dynamic transformations.

That and there is just the movie to support the ROTF line. When a line is support by a TV show, you get more screen time than a 2 hour movie. Which means characters can get more than 1 line before they're shot in the back. And with a TV series you look forward to the new episode every week.

Sometimes just getting it out helps, and you know what, it did a bit.

With a bit of a clearer head, I do have to say that with my own experiences with running anime conventions that it's not easy to do especially seeing they do have two to run each year, but it still feels that they could be doing more.

I hear you. I was just kidding with the "air some grievances" part.

Appropriate with the Club figure news I guess, I'm not really stoked about the Hot Shot redo, but that seems boring to me as well. Now we know where they're going to go most likely with the "Gang of 3" bit, so we'll get Orion Pax and some other .6 second G1 episode appearance character (***I LOVE G1, SO NOT BITCHING!****) but man, the news just leaves me sort of flat.
