Hey folks!

Living In Greece I have to hunt far and wide for Transformers. Are the new Generations,TF2010 and HftD vehicles in scale with the movie models? I found the classics to be slightly smaller and the Armada a lot bigger, whilst the animated stuff seemed to meander. I'm talking deluxe class mostly here, and base my collection on same sized doors and wheels mostly.I saw a video of Autobot Drift on Youtube where he seemed a lot taller than Classics Starscream.

Thanks for all help!

HFTD IS a movie line, so yes.

Generations seems to be in close enough scale, at least in Bot modes.

All Deluxe cars are pretty much a random scale - whatever fits with the overall amount of plastic and number of moving parts declared as "Deluxe". For example, Classics Bumblebee (going by car modes) is a much larger scale (say, 1/30 or 1/32) than Universe Classics Sideswipe (closer to 1/34 or 1/36). However, they all still at least vaguely fit together.

Scale? What scale? There isn't even any consistency in scale WITHIN any TF line, let alone between different lines or sub-lines.

The only lines I can think of that were almost completely in-scale are the Alternators/Binaltech line and the Human Alliance series.
Everything else, as already stated, is just a case of "how much plastic can we use?"

I mean, ROTF Scout Depthcharge is essentially the same size as ROTF Scout Dead-End (or whatever he was called in the states) despite one being a a giant military battlecruiser type thing and the other being... a car.

Human Alliance vehicles aren't in scale - they're all roughly Voyager size. Otherwise HA Jazz would be nearly an inch shorter than HA Sideswipe.

Really? Wow, my bad, I thought they were meant to be inscale with each other.
Sorry!

Ah scale.

Driving fans crazy for years

Their is some scale between figures, but a large majority are NOT in scale

Voyager Blackout/Grindor For example. He is a Military Helicopter who is supposed to be LARGER then Megatron....

He isn't much larger then deluxe soundwave

Drift is noticeably out of scale with the movie bots.

That said, the deluxe movie Autobots for the most part scale with each other. Exceptions would be Ironhide and Ratchet, who look much better next to the others in Voyager, the Twins who are far more accurately sized in their ice cream truck combiner mode, and the bikes who can really only be Legends if you want them to look right. Wheelie the best you can do is Legends and even that's far, far to big.

Decepticons, being mainly planes and tanks, stomp all over scale and then blissfully ignore it completely.
