I'll be happier if I can get my hands on it. Can't attend due to training at work so I just need to find someone attending that isn't so happy with the figure that would be willing to sell it. Really don't want to hunt on ebay.

Now if I had seen that earlier I'd have snatched it up right away also.

I hope a realistic Trion eventualy comes out that we all can get on day though.

Its a lovely new head they put on the already beautiful Vector Prime mold. The colours are a little off, which makes me think it could be a Botcon figure all the more.

Would this possibly be for a 2nd (and different) release of figures, much like Waspinator was last year? I thought that Classics Jetfire/Dreadwing was the Voyager class figures for this years botcon set?

Speculation points to it being either in one of the extra Attendee sets you can buy. Much like the Waspinator you mentioned from last year. That or possibly a club exclusive. The guys from Funpub have yet to comment about it, and I have a feeling we won't hear anything from them about it for a few days at least. If it is theres then at least 20 of them have walked out of the factory and onto Ebay already. Which can't make them happy since they deal in much smaller numbers then Hasbro.

it's pretty cool how Alpha Trion's head looks better on Vector Prime's body than Vector Prime's head does

That does look very nice. I remember a custom of Vector Prime into a Alpha Trion but this one just looks SO nice! I bet it is one of the other sets (usually come in 2). And theyll probably charge $95 like last time :cry:

But weren't there 4 figures available for purchase at Botcon 2006? (Megatron, Waspinator, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak) So Huffer could be the freebie, with Springer, Alpha Trion, Elita-1 and some other figure (looking at the comic, probably Weirdwolf) as exclusive con figures.

No, there were two SETS and the freebie. Megatron and Waspinator were a Voyager and basic at Roughly $100. Buzzsaw and Laserbeak were two basics at roughly $45. I know my pricing on the birds is wrong someone correct me please. Going by those assortments. It could be A3 and Huffer as the high dollar item and Springer or E-1 as the lower priced one with either being the freebie. Or it could pan out how I originally said. I would assume the set pricing will remain similar to last year.

Man, this sucks. One year I'm bogged down in bills so much kick-assery comes out where I can't get it. & What's even worse is the one figure I've been waiting for since the club started up is going to be an attendee figure, meaning there's virtually no way in hell I'll be getting it....

....If it weren't for the fact that most of my major bills will be taken care of by the end of the year so I'll have more free disposable income next year to get stuff like this, I'd just let my club subscription run out.

......this just sucks.....
