If this were a kitbash does anyone know what figure could have been used to make the head? After comparing Vector Prime's head to this one they look completely different. If this isn't legit, someone put some serious time into customizing a head.

You know thats a good point.
But I've got an explanation: Takara and Hasbro give them these items so they can sell them on e-bay, it's a good and cheap way of promoting. Someone paies a hige price just to be first to have it and writs a reviue of it with pics and they get posted on a website just like this one and people want it rigt away!

They are $49.99 with $30 shipping. And just like last year, there is a large quantity of "unknown" repaints being sold at Buy-It-Now.
My advice to people who want these and are not going to BotCon is to buy all of the possible BotCon figures now before BotCon. The reason is that a figure like this (Megatron last year) will really go high in value. The only thing you don't get with this is the instructions and the Tech Specs. This is pretty much the cheapest you'll see this figure.
