A Titanium Mod by the DON!

Postby jimsloth » Sat May 12, 2007 4:35 pm

Was looking through Don's older posts over at TFW and I found this!
DON wrote:for those itching to customize him due to the arm placement, instead of making an over-complicated sliding system on the shoulder, I suggest to just lop off the head/neck assembly and replace it on the hinge part of the cab.

I originally designed the head to flip out of the cab. and it's not that the arms are placed way far back, it's just the head was placed way too far towards the front.

also, by doing this, you can pop off the cab and just have the trailer/armor by itself similar to the original. (and FYI, Cybertron Armorhide fits in it)

by doing this, his proportions will be vastly improved

Now, if only we could have a cab that transforms properly and fits in the armor.

I wonder how big worlds smallest Magnus would be in there.

*edit* on looking at pictures over at seibertron I think that would be too small. Maybe Robotmasters Prime? Not having UM yet its hard to guess.

you'd need one the size of a basic. that's why he has armorhide in there. basically the cab is the size of THS02...

RM Prime has a similar sized cab, to Cyb Armorhide. The two are sitting next to each other in vehicle mode on my shelf, as I type this.

I disagree with Don in that I think the arms are indeed too far back. It's true they're not inline with the head, but they're also not inline with the legs. I still think the figure looks awesome and I'd love to attempt the mod he's suggested, IE removing the cab from the body.

now that I finally own one of this guy, I have to say... the white cab is indeed the size of Robot Masters Prime! I have no idea how I would go about attaching him, or more importantly, making his legs fold differently at the knees (the RM bot that is) so he can make enough of a ball that it doesn't look ridiculous.

looking at UM, I also don't know how Don disassembled the cab... :?

He designed it, thus he knows how it went together..making it easier to take apart.
