very well done on those stripes!!!!!!!!!!
i must say.. though.. some paint on the kibble in the bed would make this stellar.. and lowering the lights.. just a tad high . at least to me!
other than that.. i think its amazing. and awsome to see some more alt customs being made.

so where is that head from. I love the removable visor. and I noticed you did the calf shortening as opposed to the thigh extentions. I like it. Hoist doesn't need to be taller than everyone else (which the thigh extentions do).
till all are one.

That's it exactly... didn't want Hoist to be as tall as my Prime, Hun-Grr, and whomever my Nemesis Prime turns out to be.
The head comes from a G1 Hoist junker I bought from BBTS specifically for this custom. Grabbed it on sale for about $9 or so. The visor comes from an Alt. Meister custom that didn't need it (Wildrider, if you're curious). I couldn't figure out a way to attach it permanently without reshaping either the head or the visor, so it's just fitted on with sticky putty and can take it off as necessary. It mixes the toy and cartoon heads neatly that way.
As far as painting the tow rig goes, it's possible - but for the moment, I'm out of orange paint, so it'll have to wait.

you just cut out the square of plastic below the knee pad and re-glue the knee pad to the hinge. I had suggested that back when the first pics of Optimus showed up, actually, someone had done a digibash repainting that first pic of prime as trailbreaker, and I digibashed that to have the calf mod. I'll see if I can find it...
-edit-

I still want to do this one, but can't get my hands on a nemesis prime for the life of me.
