Yeah, I'm excited about the movie, but I hate crowds, so I wont see it until later. I am really hyped about the book, I think she'll kill off HP & Vold, or Hermoine and Ron. Just 'cause I like to see heroes suffer.

My wife and I saw it at the midnight show on Tuesday. In my opinion it's the best movie out of the franchise, just a tremendous experience. This coming from a Potter fan, but not a Potter obsessive (that title belongs to the missus). Order could be their ESB equivalent.

I saw it as well and liked it. But I thought it was the third best Potter film. For some reason I liked 3 and 4 the most.

I also really liked the style of Azkaban, and I thought Cuaron's direction fit the kids perfectly. Goblet is more overall exciting than Order, but I just loved everything about Order from start to finish. That's an outstanding ensemble cast they've assembled, too.

I might be Order-biased because I only had 12 hours to read the book before my wife got back from her morning shift, and had it done in ten.

Saw it Tuesday night. It really is the best movie out of the franchise so far.

Also, for those who haven't seen it.

You should have seen this coming when he tried to kill John McClane.

I've never really cared much for Harry Potter either in book or movie form. Although Azkahban rocked, but only because it had Gary Oldman in it. Anything with Gary Oldman in it is automatically cool.

Then you should like this movie, more Gary Oldman. That and Mad Eye Moody is back, and the were-wolf guy.

Quite an enjoyable movie.

Shame they have to cut bits from the book out though, there were a couple of things I would have liked to see, the portrait of Syrius' mother, no real explanation to the archway as well as all the different rooms and doors each of them ended up taking.

One thing I found a little disappointing was the cheapened special effects of Syrius' face in the fireplace. The last movie had his face becoming part of the coals, this time his face was just super-imposed onto the flames, bit of a step backward there.

Otherwise though, another great movie.

She looks like my baby sister!

Anyway, went to see it-loved it!!! Dying to read the new book!

One thing which could be a major problem with the movie, When Black dies he gets killed by the killing curse then falls through the gate, in the book he just gets pushed through so i believe that he may be alive in essence somewhere in the either, but he cant be if he was hit by the killing curse

i couldnt give a damn. The wife likes potter for whatever reason, and she managed to get me to sit through the third one at an imax theatre and all four of the other movies on DVD somehow. We wont be going to see this new potter at the cinema as we are saving our money for Transformers and Simpsons. Shes gonna wait to see the new pothead on dvd.

Same thoughts. I grew up with the stuff, and used to be a real fanatic, but as of late things comming off the Potter line haven't been up to par, even at best...

I was looking forward to the scene where McGonagall is attacked while the kids were doing their OWLs.

I didn't mind the movie - thought it felt a bit too much like a highlights package of the book, though.

Oh, and aslo with the Dumbledore vs. Voldemort duel...? This is why the magical world needs TVs. If they could have watched Ghostbusters they'd realise why it's abad thing to cross the streams.

Never thought of it like that, but yeah, that's a pretty good way to describe it.

I'll say they missed a lot of parts in the book that I really liked, and the Cho change was a but disappointing, but the two new characters were awesome...

Umbridge steals the freakin' show! She is practically perfectly played. I don't think it could have been done better by any other actress!

Luna Lovegood is a very nicely added character is well, well acted and cast.

I like the look of the new Deatheater masks, but I also liked the look of the last ones too.

I was sad that it was not as dark as the book. I understand that they have to leave out parts of an 800 page book to fit it into 2 and a half hours, but I thought the tone got way too light once Harry decided that not everyone was against him. It did not give me the same sense that I had when I read book 5 at all. When I read book 5 I was totally and utterly frustrated with Harry and how he decided to be so outright beligerant and stupid. In the movie, he very quickly became Harry hero again...

Grimauld Place needed much more film time!!! Where in the world was the magical...
wizarding hospital??? That was a great part of the book, where we got to see the return of Lockhart, and get introduced to Neville's parents whereabouts and history. I know it was generally handled in the movie, but c'mon. I missed what was in each of the different rooms of the department of mysteries...I was really looking forward to brains flying around, ala Futurama...

And finally I wanted more Rita Skeeter!!! Where was she????

The casting and acting of Umbridge was amazing. I also think casting Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange was pretty much inspired. She's a beautiful woman but as is, even just normally, she's got something vaguely creepy about her.

Movie didn't deliver in my opinion. Its feels as if they just pieced together bits and parts of the book and call it a movie. It was a real let down and a few key events were also missing...

Mods damnit, I was looking forward to the fight in the DoM too...it just didn't feel epic at all..

It's funny you should say that, because we were all "what the hell was that??" over it too, yet the way they finished with the conversation with Harry & Luna made it feel like he was, you know?
