Hey everybody, I recently got an Android phone and I have to admit I'm really really new to the whole Iphone/Android business and apps. My question here is where can I find an app for Android version 2.3.7 that I can use to download a conversation of texts from the phone to my PC.
Where can I get this app? How much will it cost? Do I put it on the phone or on the PC (Windows 7)? Is this something that has to go on the phone or do I install this on the PC? If I have a no-data plan (yeah, yeah, I know), can I download it to PC then transfer it to my phone, or do I have to download it straight onto my phone?
Also, I'm getting the idea a text message is called an SMS? Is that right? What does that stand for?
Anybody know the step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
In case it matters I have a Motorola Motoluxe.
Thanks!
Edit: After a bit of searching, I found out I can use SMS Backup and Restore. But yet I can't. Why do I have to download a second app first, like Appbrain or some other thing, or give my credit card information for a supposedly free app? What's a Google Play Store app? How do I install anything on the phone from Windows? Sorry. This is my first time doing anything but texting and calling on any phone. So far my phone has been a brick that talks to me.
