Hey, a friend of mine is in a bit of a pickle.
1 1/2 years ago she met a Colombian while in Spain and they fell in love.
They're engaged and plan on living together over here in Germany, but here is the problem. For the past 4 years he's lived and worked in Spain, he's just one year from receiving his Spanish citizenship, which would allow him to live in any EU country he wants, including Germany.

The Spanish government has stated that they will no-longer be giving out citizenships and he's afraid of getting kicked out of Spain. Which would mean returning back to Colombia and being banned from Europe for 5 years.

They're already in a long distance relationship, but that would completely kill it, especially since she does not have the money to travel to Colombia.

Currently the only option seems to be a quick marriage, but they would prefer not to, mainly due to the fact that they want their marriage to be something special and nice, which they cannot afford at the moment.

So yea, if you can provide some tips or any kind of help , we would be very thankful.
I know it's a long shot, but this is seriously the last option I can currently think of for helping them.

No, he would have to apply for a short term holiday visa because he's not an EU citizen.
But if he wanted to emigrate to Germany he would have to go back to Colombia and request a visa for Germany in person, which he just can't afford. Plus there's no guarantee that Germany would take him.
