The original G1 transformers figures came with stickers you could apply yourself. I personally loved it b/c it added depth to your figures and it was just plain fun and great quality time spent! It was a little of a pain to apply the really small stickers, esp. when you have fat and clusmy or unsteady fingers!

Also it was a pain to get the stickers off again when applied on crooked! One might think they had super glue on them, cause they sure didn't want to come off! So one learned very quickly to apply carefully and correctly the first time! (Yeah right...easier said than done!!)
SO having said all this...I think it would be cool when they start producing the Classic Line again, if they would include stickers to apply!

I realize that you can get alot of stickers at Reprolabels.com, but not for all of them, esp. the newer ones.
I miss the days when Transformers had real rubber tires and metal parts!

SO tell me what you guys think about the applying stickers issue...yes or no...and why!
I miss none of it.
As you mentioned, the stickers are an absolute pain to grapple with.
They fade, they wear out, they tear and look bad once damaged.
The rubber tires will crack and fall apart sooner or later. (It happened with Shockwave's arm cable, it's a common problem)
The Die-Cast is too heavy, chips easily, and raises the cost for no good reason. Plastic can replicate what the metal pieces do and it does a better job. Plastic can be glued and dealt with in terms of breakage. Die-Cast requires too much work to handle and keep care of.
Reprolabels offers a terrific service, I should know, I've used it.
But for the figures themselves? I like the battle plan that Hasbro has going for the figures now. Paints and tampographs all the way.
...although I'm still not sure why they chose to use a sticker for Bonecrusher's emblem on the Movie Deluxe figure. If we finally do get a Voyager Bonecrusher (I haven't given up hope yet!)...maybe this time, they'll tampo it. I'm just waiting for that sticker to fall off.
