Autobot420 has to go bye-bye.

Today I received a PM stating that MY sig and user name has offended someone, and I'm now forced to change them. Needless to say I'm not happy about this at all. I would like to invite who ever took so much offense to my sig and name, to please IM, e-mail, or PM me. So that we may have a nice, calm, and rational conversation about why you took so much offense to my name and sig that you felt it necessary to go to a mod, to have me change my name. Hell you can even call me if you like (727-946-0975). As for the rest of this thread if anyone wants they can send condolences or just reminisce about my awesome sig. As stated before I will comply and change my sig and user name as I have been asked to do, it's just gonna take a few days to figure out what I want to change it to.

coming soon "The Electric Information Show" a new podcast from the guy who brought you the Twincast.

For serial?
Wow, hell your sig(in it's various forms) and name have been the same for as long as I can remember.
and now people complain about it?
Though I'm not complaining about the person who complained, as they may have a legit reason for doing so. I could see a boss at work or something walking by and seeing a Prime with a bong and be kinda upset or something.

I can understand how some ultra-sensitive type would be afraid of the bong, but why has "Autobot420" been dubbed an offensive username?

Uh ohs. First it's kid-friendly lesbians, PG-cleavage, the word 'fire truck', then it's Disney-tame stoners - next they'll be banning Jethro Tull for being the Devil's favourite folk-prog band.

I see. That is not really a very work friendly time at all.
But that is pretty harsh... And I can't see how it could be a big enough issue to justify a change. If it were my call I'd back your right to use that name, sadly it is not my call.

I can totally understand my sig and that's fine, but my user name that's the part that baffles me.
I don't drink at all, so that's out.

4. No discussion nor promotion of illegal activities.
This includes but is not limited to drug use, solicitation of a minor, and copyright infringement (including the distribution of files such as video game ROMs and PDFs of commercially available books).
The only criticism here should be directed towards the staff for being so lenient in enforcing this rule.
The poster who complained was well within his or her rights and was completely justified. If we were running a tighter ship then his complaint wouldn't (and shouldn't) have been necessary.
Additionally, prompt compliance is expected when a moderator asks you to do something, not a protest thread and an 'I'll get to it later'.
