I would guess its for the Classics Red Alert/Sideswipe mold as there are only promo images out at the moment for MP Red Alert/Swipe and nothing in-hand as far as I know?

I have found a couple of head & shoulder shots of Alert for comparison to the CG render for your perusal...

Not sure how this will work. I guess pop off the original head and clip these this onto the shoulders? :???:

I appreciate that he's trying to do more than add a new head to the toy, but I don't like that you (seemingly) need to remove it for transformation.

Well, I have Renderform's head and that's good enough for me. Unless Beelzeboss makes a crazed version I'm sticking with that.

I have renderform's RA head already.

Assuming you can just swap in heads I *may* get the Sideswipe upgrade as my SS still has the original noggin.

But that's a big maybe.

I overpaid for the renderform kit on e-bay. Then I bought a cheap garage kit for red alert just to have it. A little too late but looks nice. Not sure whats the purpose of the shoulders or those black things. Since we know Bezzleboss makes everything they show off, I wish they would work on G1 heads for classics Blurr and Universe Roadbuster instead of doing stuff that already exists.

I got the Gears of War I set and that's fine. I... like Red Alert's head? Am I the only one actually satisfied with the majority of TF craniums?

I guess

To me the standard head made him look like Sideswipe cosplaying Red Alert. The whole thing was just too similar for me to believe they were two different bots.

Meh, his head is fine for me. There's upgrades, like missile launchers, but unless their Headmasters like Hardhead and the upcoming Minddwipe set I usually don't bother.

Though in its defence it comes with 9 bits, which is more than their Cliffjumper kit which was 3 bits for 20 I think it was.

I'm looking forward to seeing the difference these shoulders will make , it will help the mold stand out more like a retool than just a simple head swap which to me is much more appealing .

I pre-ordered this from Kapow - this is the blurb thay have for it:

DUE AUGUST 2012 - Beelzeboss Heroic Duo Upgrade kit.

New headsculpt of RedAlert *1,
RedAlert's shoulder-mounted missile launcher *1,
RedAlert's high-energy particle beam rifle *1,
Sideswipe's piledriver *2,
Sideswipe's shoulder-mounted launcher(different mold from RedAlert's) *1,
Sideswipe's photon rifle *1,
Shoulder add-on unit (used to fit the missile laucher and make these two guys look more G1 style ) *2

I think the set is pretty good value. Nice guns, plus launchers for both figures. I'm intrigued to see how the shoulder inserts will peg in to the figures though.
