I should have made the eyes light. Also, I admit that I could have done a better job hiding the upper thighs. I was originally going to color them dark blue like the rest of the figure but I didn't want his legs to look too stumpy especially after working so hard to get them to not look that way. One benefit though that convinced me to leave them the way they are is that his monster mode can take on more poses like this.

Just a thought... especially since his thighs are in two parts, how about colouring the upper (hip) part of the thighs dark blue like the rest of him, and the lower part (closer to the knees) leave the light violet for the variation? That way you'd still have the violet breaking him up in robot mode, the dark uppers would be kind of like hip plates (like the coloured parts of the thighs on, say, Alt Smokescreen). When you push the legs in to transform him, the violet part of the thighs is hidden and the hips just look like part of the torso?

Yeah, I thought of that too and it would make him more toon-accurate. I felt in the end he had plenty of blue and wanted his legs to seem as long as possible. I really disliked his stumpy legs.
