Hey most of this stuff looks pretty decent. Although I think Chromia as a heavy retool of TFPrime Arcee looks a lot better than Arcee does.
That Optimus and Megatron... That's just bad. These were designed for the Generations line? By whom? These have to be some of the worst designed figures I've seen since Armada and Energon. What the hell happened here? Did they forget that the Generations line is geared towards a more mature audience? I'm downright horrified by those things.
I may just resort to buying second hand transformers only now. I don't think I want to give my money to Hasbro anymore.

I just looked at the new Subscription figures and some are... quite out there, especially Zap being based on his canceled Japanese release. And Nacelle I've never heard of, had to look him up, and wouldn't you know it, he only appeared in Exodus.
then why was the garbage truck driving with and being filmed with Galvatron, Stinger and two other sport cars (probably elite Vehicons)

Botcon 2010 Doublepunch.
I kind of would see some UT characters get new forms
Bulkhead from tf 2010 tomahawk
Ironhide from arms micron war breakdown with a micron version of kicker redecod from micron OP
Scourge beast hunters predaking redeco
Hot shot- either redeco AOE version or Prime beast hunters smokescreen with a functional 5mm post gimmick
Optimus prime( which I would love to see done on the creative roundup) extensive retool of beast hunters body with ability to powerlinx with armada optimus's trailer and magic power ups and standard two part Autobot combiners from energon but one I doubt is the maximuses
Cannonball repurpose botcon 2014 release
Crumplezone- I don't know what to do with this guy
Thunder blast oh she is a toughy um prid arcee redeco/ repurpose?
Red alert - extensive retool of Prime Ratchet

Monster High. I've read its been the best selling toy Mattel have released since HotWheels, too. You can't move in my local ToysRUs for bumping into them and last Christmas my local supermarket managed to sell a 5-foot high PALETTE of them in less than a day. I've not seen a toy sell that fast in I don't know how long.
fenrir72 wrote:Arcee taking nods from delicate warrior? Either way she and Chromia rock!
Don't hear anyone complaining about Arcee's butt flaps btw.
More like Delicate Warrior took its initial cues from the cancelled (and unfinished) Titanium release Hasbro showed off ages back.
This is actually a lot better proportioned than Delicate Warrior, too - the arms are sleek and its face doesn't resemble a balloon with a face drawn on.

Lets not forget Delicate Warriors carmode is a brick with legs hanging off the back

and just a reminder - 30th Arcee is less than $20. You could buy five before you even paid for Delicate Warrior.

Wow, all in all I'm very disappointed by almost everything they revealed.
I don't collect Legends unless scale dictates the characters should be a Legends Class, so I have no interest in that Nemesis Prime, not to mention I'm kinda done with Nemesis Prime in general.
Legends Cliffjumer - Already have a Deluxe with third-party upgrades
Legends Thundercracker - again the scale issue, plus I just got iGear's new Raptor version, which is stupidly amazing.
Legends Windcharger - This one blows my mind. I already have a really good Scout Class Windcharger so that alone means I don't need this guy, but why the Hell not announce a Tailgate redeco of the previously released Scout Windcharger. We're actually going backwards here.
Legends Powerglide - This guy looks good, but I already have the Deluxe sized on from Xtransbots and it's pretty damn good. iGear also has plans to release a Powerglide in the Mini Warrrior line. Still, I might get this guy.
Legends Bombshell - Looks pretty good, but it's not going to replace my FansProject version.
Deluxe Arcee - Looks good, but really late to the party. I currently have iGear's Delicate Warrior, and really like her. Not to mention Perfect Effect has a really good Arcee, and MMC is apparently going to release a whole series of Fembots that look really nice. I may get her just because this will be Hasbro's first attempt at real G1-ish Arcee.
Deluce Chomia - Looks interesting, even though she appears to be an extensive remold of the PRID Arcee mold. Will probably get her.
Voyager Brainstorm - Look really good, but again late to the party. I already have two version of this character, FansProject and Toyworld. I'll probably get him, but if he does't surpass the ToyWorld version once I have him in-hand he'll get sold. Though I do hold out hope, after all, the Hasbro Springer replaced my FansProject Defender.
Voyager Optimus Prime - No, Hell no. Looks terrible, looks worse that the Classics Voyager that came out years ago. Neither of which hold a candle to ToyWorld Orion.
Leader Megatron - Pass. Looks okay at best, but won't scale with my Classics and not as good as ToyWorld Hegemon.
Leader Armada Megatron - This actually works, but I don't need a Generations Armada Megatron. Great for Armada fans though.
Subscription Service 3.0 - Not one of those do I want, not signing up this year.
AOE Stuff - No longer collecting movie universe stuff. In fact selling everything I've got.
Now I'm sure many of you will read this and say, "Oh, he's just one of those third-party superiority complex people." Not the case, I want Hasbro to make things I want. I want to pay Hasbro prices, rather than third-party price. But they have got to start being more proactive. Everything they showed was reactive. Case in point: They teased a Superion Generations combiner. Sorry, but I already have one from TFC, and despite it's flaws will likely be better than their version. A smarter move would have been to have teased a Generations Defensor. It would damage TFC's sales and pre-orders.
However, I do concede that these are great reveals for those not collecting third-party. For me personally though, boring.

Arcee is the only figure out of this lot I will be buying, I've been looking for an affordable G1 Arcee for years, and seeing as this is basically IGear's version for a quarter of the price it would be silly not to bite, the rest can be sent to the smelting pool for me.

I'm with you mate, every one of those Generations figures has a highly superior 3rd party version out or coming out, Hasbro had the chance to do something special here and blow it's 3rd party rivals out of the water, instead the took the quick and easy route, not good enough Hasbro.

Until more updated RiD characters are made, I propose that the "Rollbar" from the farmageddon set be repurposed as Skid-Z. Anyone with me?

They said there would be no off screen movie characters in the Gen toyline.
And Snarl is not in the movie.....slag those guys at Hasbro.
But the Sonic's name is....Rollbar?
Who?
I mean what?
Who remembers a guy named Rollbar?
I'd still like to know where you heard that, cause its news to me. Also, the Sonic that may be intended as, but that's Generations Skids' mold, its not even a movie car. So...

Nacelle could be a [very] obscure reference to a G1 Thrust bootleg that used to circle around dollar stores and ebay years and years ago. Exact same colours.
Only you would know something like that, right? Now you have me wanting to look into it.

Pre-release G1 Thrust from early Hasbro stock photos.
Saw the pics on SpaceBridge ages back.

This probably makes Nacelle the most obscure repaint ever conceived.

Re: BotCon 2014 Coverage: Hasbro's Transformers Brand Panel
I gotta say, after hearing what Generations characters were getting figures, the actual reveals are a bit of a letdown. Especially Megatron and Optimus. They just don't look like they fit in the current Generations line. They look like Unicron Trilogy figures or something.
Megatron has potential, but the face sculpt just doesn't look right.r I was expecting a more IDW look.
Same with Arcee. I'm happy she's finally getting an official release, but she's TOO G1. I already have the disappointing Valkyrie figure, and this one looks almost the same. At least she's better-proportiined and articulated.
Chromia, on the other hand, looks amazing, despite being a retool.
Brainstorm is also awesome, and I have to admit I never saw Hasbro doing Headmasters ever again. Awesome surprise.
The news of Superion is also a cool surprise, but I'm afraid to get too excited in case it turns out more like Megatron and less like Brainstorm.
I do like the new legends figures, especially Powerglide and Bombshell!

Valkyrie looked crap on a Classics shelf, but awesome on a G1 shelf. I was very sad when I had to sell mine. Despite how good this 30th Arcee is, I'm gonna get Valkyrie again, as well as this.

Re: BotCon 2014 Coverage: Hasbro's Transformers Brand Panel
Valkyrie does fit on my G1 shelf, and that's the only reason I haven't sold her yet. But it really bothers me how many times I've had to glue pieces back on and how she can barely stand in robot mode.
I'll likely get Hasbro's Arcee, but I kind of feel Azalea would be more at home on the Generations shelf.

I had no QC issues with mine. I even dropped mine onto hard-flooring a few times. Never broke.

I'm excited by Chromia, too, but I'm really hoping Arcee gets a Moonracer remold
