I'm not. But I would like to get to a near complete G1 (US/UK/AU release) collection. AM's are just filling out the collection now.

Picked this little guy up yesterday arvy from K-mart. He was on clearance down to $10, which felt oh so nice considering the Cyberverse crap was still sitting there at $35.
He's about my third Rescue Bot and first RB Optimus Prime. He's not fancy, he's not supposed to be, but I like him and he'll look good with the rest of the Optimus Prime/Convoy collection.

I have a townhouse, it's good.
For me.
Add a fiancé in and it becomes not good.
So we found a place, great price, great location, 5 bedrooms ... but the real estate agent is a **** bitch and we keep getting conflicting advice from "experts" about it all.

Yeah, a good real estate agent makes a huge difference. We found a good one when we sold our last house and found the new one. She did all the hard stuff for us. We just had to agree on price and show up and sign things.Burn wrote:So we found a place, great price, great location, 5 bedrooms ... but the real estate agent is a **** bitch and we keep getting conflicting advice from "experts" about it all.
If it's an option, I'd recommend getting a new one or one of your own. Totally worth the fees.

Yeah I don't know how much of an option it is.
I can admit we went into this completely unprepared. We'd seen the property advertised about a month ago, we hummed and harred over it, then Thursday two weeks ago I went in to arrange a time to check it out.
I was told that another agent was already taking someone else through it at 5:30 so if we could get there at 5:00 this agent would take us through. We fronted up before 5:00, and so did the other couple, so that was awkward.
After they left we went through it. Within two hours we'd put an offer in. Within a day the seller had accepted ours over the other couple because I'd already been to the bank.
And yeah ... it's all been rushed. Monday is the big day as the building and pest inspector goes through it and that could make or break the deal. But the agent has been incredibly useless. Can't tell us the state of the roof other than "one part was replaced after Cyclone Larry, another part after Cyclone Yasi" and I can see a third rusty part. And until it's known for certain whether it's nailed or screwed, insurance won't cover us.
And no one told us we needed insurance before settlement until after the contract was signed. Not the agent, nor the bank.

That deal sounds a little raw and it sounds like you're too deep now.
Well at least it's a learning experience, our first house definitely was.
Good luck.

I only camp where there is running water, AC and electricity. That's camping right?
We've borrowed a pop-up a few times. That's a good compromise. It's like a tent on wheels

First, CONGRATS!! I did not know about the fiancé bit! Soon I'll have to welcome you to the club! A bit of advice: don't take advice from people on the Internet, even if they have been happily married for 21 years.
(Seriously, the only "secret" I have is that we talk to each other and don't let things build to breaking if we can help it. Most of our big fights came because we quit talking about something.)
Second, I feel you on the house bit. I bought my first one about 19 years ago. Then, a year and a half ago we upgraded. Houses suck. Pretty much each one I have known about (from growing up, to owning two, to watching my friends own them) has had some sort of problems. Mostly, it is whether or not the problems can be dealt with. We had water in our basement early in the last house. So, I spent many hours and much work on landscaping and repairing the concrete slab such that I was comfortable finishing the basement. Within the first year of owning the current house, we had hail damage causing the replacement of all of our siding (did you know the deductible was 4% of the value of the house, not the value of the damage? Me neither.) We also had to replace the water heater and softener. We chose to replace the crappy toilets.
That said, I am so glad to have more space for our kids and my stuff. As much of a pain the house has been, the positives truly outweigh the negatives. Good luck on your situation! I hope all works out so that you can be happy with your decision!
Third, when are we going to throw you your bachelor party?

I actually had a delivery today.
POTP Punch/Counterpunch. My very first Amazon exclusive. It was nice of Amazon AU to gift us lowly Australians with the opportunity to pre-order him via the local site ... even though it was shipped from Amazon US.
I quite like him! Fun little figure, I definitely feel the shoulder joint swap is a necessity.
