Nothing in a relationship is real for the first month or so. It's all hormones.
After that month the truth comes out and reality sets in.
You'll get over it and find someone else. Patience is required in the meantime.

I have to go Mkall on this one. If you try getting back together with her you are just going to end up regretting it in the long run.

Re: can't let go
Here's some tough love for ya: grab a double handful of self-worth. Do you *really* want to be with someone who treats you badly? Do you really want to be with someone who, while you're being sad and miserable and thinking about her all the time, is either a) not thinking about you at all, but having fun or b) is actually pretty okay with you being miserable and pining because it feeds her ego? Do you really want to grovel and beg and demean yourself so another person, who doesn't seem to be very nice, will...what? Certainly not *respect* you. If you let yourself be treated as a doormat, she may take you back, *as her doormat*. If you *like* how you currently feel, by all means, get her back. She'll yo-yo you here every time she gets bored.
I know this sounds mean and harsh, but friend, I have been there. One person *cannot* do all of the caring/loving/work to make a relationship happen. And despite what the romantic comedies show, males groveling is NOT adorable. And despite what tons of Renaissance love poetry seems to show, love is not supposed to be a) one-sided and b) painful.
As to what to do? Get a new hobby. Get a change of scene. Go play paintball or paint figures or take up knitting or freerunning or going to the gym. Do something that a) will get your mind off this unworthy wench and b) will build your self-esteem.
Or write. Act like a 13 year old with a new myspace page and just write and write and write about this girl and your relationship and all of that *until you are physically ill*. It should take a few hours. And a wrist cramp. But she will be officially *out* of your system. Trust me, this works.
HK, a) and b) ish.

Should I start a relationship advice thread where I correct everyone's dating issues?

Hopefully, you don't have to interact with this "mean girl" on a regular basis. If so, figure out a way to distance yourself.
I spent many years hung up over my first highschool girlfriend. She was still in my circle of friends, and was hugely manipulative and petty. Years later we became actual friends, but that was only after my attraction to her (and silly hopes of reuniting) were dead and buried. We are not friends today, having lost track of eachother for more than a decade.
The regret and sadness will fade. Hopefully time will give you a sense of what actually went on (or at least you won't care anymore.) The best thing to do is to find a person that you like hanging out with, who lets you enjoy being you. Or a rebound relationship... I hear those work wonders. j/k

I had a felling this thread was about a girl as soon as I seen the title
The only thing I can say is time heals all wounds
Try to stay away from her if you have to be near her just ignore her
That is easier said then done though

I guess that in relationships You cant be someones Doormat, cause like someone here said "she'll take You as her Doormat". But Conversation helps, and maybe You two aint meant to be together. Find someone Else, who will Love You for who You are, and Not someone who will be there in Your life, only when they want to be.

Re: can't let go
Here is how to fix the problem.
Step 1: Get industrial strength glue
Step 2: Put glue on your hand, or other area
Step 3: Touch affected area to area of her
Step 4: Spend a grudgingly painful amount of time together
Step 5: After a certain period of time passes(usually 24 minutes) you will enjoy each others company.
Step 6: Apply solvent to affected area.
Step 7: Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss

I had the same problem. Just ignore her. Usualy, it`s easier to diss her than ignore her. Even if you know it's not true, spread a rumor (She's a lesbo, Eats dog food, Relitive is a criminal, Prostitute, etc.) She'll feel so sad, she'll need someone to be with. That's where you come in. And you gotta remember, girls get in a bad mood alot. This is just a (sad) fact of life.

Please please PLEASE don't do these! Be above spreading slander like this. Don't lower yourself or your standards, I beg you. If nothing else, you'll look at yourself in the mirror and feel a lot better for having kept the high ground. And besides, spite shows her you still have a thing for her. Indifference is the opposite of atraction, not hate.
Also, sheesh, Space Ace, you're a cool guy, but keep your sexism to yourself. 'Girls get in a bad mood a lot'? So do guys. Only we legitimize male moods, especially anger, and chalk up women's moods as being 'hormonal' and 'out of control'.
I once asked my all-male colleagues when I was in the Army to bet (they bet on anything) when I had PMS based on their perception of my moodiness/irritability. Know how many times they were right? 10% of the time--statistically zero.
HK. Hey, if we have zero tolerance on this site for homophobic comments, can we have the same standard for chauvinism?

Dang it Chibi-usa (yes I'm going back to calling you this seeing howmany times you've changed your name) That is thw worst possible advice to give. And if that has worked for you than i fell even more sorry for her than you.
If somebody just isn't in to you, than that just may be the fact you need to live with and get over. Trust me cause I had tons of girl problems when I was younger that caused me all kinds of issues, but you get over it.
Live your life, be yourself, and somebody will come along one day that can change your world. And finding that happyness is a heck of alot more fulfilling than trying to socially wreck someone else. (which will more than likely, backfire)

That was actually pretty funny to read because of the sheer absurdity factor.

It is also the first time your crazy antics have made me laugh. Good job.

Hell, mine was a joke. Considering that it's based off who knows how many episodes of any given sitcom(Family Guy, Eureka, Three's Company, Growing Pains, All in the Family)
I think he was serious with his, and if thats the case, dear god that is easily the worst idea ever second only to Hitler's "so...I have this plan..." after he got into power.

Sorry guys. I was serious though. It worked for me, but hey, my ex was psycho! She was crazy, but the fact I dated her new boyfriend's sister was revenge, but I mostly liked her 'cause she was a Moonie.
Sorry 'bout the sexist comments. I didn't mean women. I meant girls! Atleast the ones I know. I know a girl who's hair is a different color and style every day. Once they become women they get over the crazyness.
Also Gen, If she was mean to you, then you probably weren't ment for eachother. I still have feelings for my ex, but we're more friends now though.

Yes, spread a horrible rumor about her, that will make her fall for you again...
I went through almost the exact same thing as you, gentron, except we weren't dating, we were just close friends, but I was starting to fall for her. (Cute redhead, who wouldn't?) Out of nowhere, she became a complete bitch towards me, but then we made up. When this vicious cycle repeated itself several months later, I learned my lesson, and instead decided to avoid any and all contact with her, even though I still somewhat liked her.
If she's being a terrible person, it's probably best not to subject yourself to it any further.
