I love the hell out of the Quintessons, especially when their roles aren't made explicit. I like their Aligned continuity appearances -where they're just greedy, lying opportunists- more than their G1 cartoon origin as creators of the Cybertronians. I also really liked what Brad Mick was building them up as in the Dreamwave G1 ongoing.
But then, I like throwing in non-Cybertronian enemy factions into the fiction wherever possible.
Characters in the franchise that you like but everyone else hates.
