Are humans characters to write profiles for, or can we just come up with them whenever we want and put them in posts?

In my experience, it's always been the latter. You just throw them in. Might wanna consult with others if you're eying a specific human though.

I'm wanting to introduce a character named "Eli" into the "Island of Secrets – Mission to Oahu" thread somehow. He's a filmmaker that is looking for good locations to film in, and I want him to somehow come across some Autobots.

I'm just going to leave it here for the time being so hopefully one of them will see. They seem to see things quicker sometimes on the chatterbox than in messages.

By the way, I did post a question about it in the questions thread. No one saw it though.

Two profiles in the Decepticons section still need to be locked.

FYI: I made some tweaks to my latest Optimus post for ease of understanding.

So there may or may not be an airborne/waterborne Jailbreak coming down on a Dinobot. Which Dinobot wants to play a game of chicken with him with no road to swerve, feel free to react

Transformers. The only venue where a terodactile can be hit by a semi truck in a mid air collision and nobody will ask questions lol. Look forward to seeing what you can do, and am somewhat curious on how to sell for Swoop if it is the case. Guess the question comes down to if Jailbreak survives or not after landing. Hope to see how ya keep it interesting.

You can see what I decided to do in my sample post for Swoop since it's now posted. My sample posts are also meant to be my first posts.

I rewrote the last paragraph of Swoop's latest post in the Sea of Change.

I did a post at Kol with Boss. However, I'm not waking him up until some others can get their replies in.

As a reminder.... in the Mars thread (The Red Planet: Fight For Survival) we have plenty of room (an entire planet!) For any other Bots and Cons. We're keeping the story flexible so anyone else can drop in. It was never meant to be just Roddy and I

However, considering it's out away from all the other action, I think characters that haven't yet been introduced into the story yet would be the best because personal ships/shuttles thing. I would recommend running by Smokey how/why a character is on Mars also. That's because I love making extra work for Smokey

Thanks! I didn't know much about that thread, so I didn't pay attention to it. Might be a good place for fanmades.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a really nasty stomach bug that's been going around. It hit me hard last night and I had to go to the emergency room to get fluids put in me via IV. I'm home now, but I still feel like crap. Hopefully, I'll get better by the end of the week but who knows. Until then I'm taking a break to focus on getting better. Just FYI.

Insidious: Just to let ya know since Landgrab would probably know this if it wasnt obvious, Jailbreak is scary close to going off-line. Energon Bleedout and the abnormally high-impact manuvers are taking it's toll.

Sid: I responded to Jailbreak's post, so now Landgrab might be excited to have another friend to play with.

Well, not really. But I've been mulling around what exactly the Decepticon Justice Division will be up to next. And, spurred on by some seeds tossed out by other players, I've figured out what.

In short, the DJD will be heading to Nebulos to arrange the pickup of a Decepticon under Turmoil's care who has unwittingly (or very wittingly) found themself on the infamous list. Somehow while there, they're going to run afoul of some nasty Monsterbots and some chaos will ensue.

Now, I could just leave the story there and see what happens, but it struck me that it might be fun to open this little tale up to whoever might be interested. So, to accomplish that and still have it fit within the confines of the story, I thought perhaps the DJD ship has stopped by a Decepticon outpost and picked up some specialists to perform some maintenance of various areas of the ship to keep the Peaceful Tyranny running in prime condition. Myself and the other DJD players are going to be creating fanmade characters that will make up this random fanmade crew of frontline characters.

So, for you reading this, if you happen to want to take part in this Resident Evil...Ridley Scott "Alien"-esque tale, that's your way in. Whip up a basic Decepticon who can be a part of the crew of Decepticons were picked up.

Now, since this is an out of the way story that won't really affect the other threads (at least for a good, long while) I'm going to play with some slightly different rules. These fanmades need to be your basic Decepticons. Front line guys. Probably some special skills in certain areas, but I don't want any uber special abilities running around, especially since these characters aren't going to go through the normal app process. No Cybertronian equivalents of the Avengers or the X-men. Now, where the rules get a little different, if you offer up a fanmade to take part in this story, you need to do so with the understanding that the character probably will be killed before the story is finished. They might survive the story, they might not. I just want to leave it up to what feels right in the story in that moment. Basically think of it as signing a deal to appear on Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead...no guarantee that you make it to the next episode, much less the next season.

Now it would kind suck to put all the work into fleshing out a profile just for them to get scrapped, yah? So I don't want thorough profiles. Just a name and a basic function. For example, one of my fanmades for this story will basically look like this:

Name: Lookout
Function: Communications Repair

Will he survive? Likely not, but I'm just leaving it open and seeing where it goes. And since I've invested nearly zero creative energy in making him, it will be no loss to me if he dies. BUT, as a creative writing challenge of sorts, I want to see if I can make myself care about the character (and perhaps some other people too) before that happens.

Anyway, that's the gist of it. If you're interested, drop me a pm with your character name and function so I can make a handy list to keep them straight for a while and then just keep an eye on the Nebulos forum. There should be some new material popping up there soonish.

Hope you enjoy! I think it'll be quite a fun, dramatic and scary romp before all is said and done.
