Another site for the paranormal. Some of the images are fake, some are neat, and some, some are weird as hell.

Crazy as it sounds, I have a phobia of darkness. I know that this is just a phobia, I have no real reason to be afraid of it. At night I have half the lights on in the house, and I can't go to sleep unless the tv is on, if nothing else just so it's not completely dark.
If I had imps in my house, I'd leave the lights on as well. I don't like sleeping with the bathroom door in my room open, or the closet. I don't like the open, pitch-dark space. About 90% of my dreams are terrible nightmares, usually recurring ones about dozens of tornadoes (been having that dream for 11 years straight), my teeth falling out (I've probably had almost 100 dreams about that), or zombies. In my dreams, everything is incredibly detailed and realistic. I even see the rot in the zombies' eyes. You'd think I'd avoid ghost stories, scary movies, or gruesome pictures. But no. I refuse to skip out on things I enjoy. But lately I've been dreaming of Transformers. It's pretty cool.

Dreams are a funny sort. I have no clue what makes you dream of zombies, teeth falling out, watching a train derail ect.
I figure it could be something to do with something one has seen within a week, something up there in the fresh memory.
I've found you can influence dreams, usually, if you continually think about one thing while waiting to fall asleep. It has something like a 50/50 shot of happening. I used to do it all the time as a kid, had awesome dreams.
The dark sucks, I have a similar phobia, not of the dark. But I hate silence. When I sleep, I have music on, fans going ect. I can't sleep without some kind of noise. If there is complete silence, like if the power goes out. I get paranoid as ****. My brain is instantly alert listening to every little noise.
It's a great phobia to have if your ghost hunting, if your trying to sleep however, it sucks.
As for ghost hunting itself, I've talked to groups on it, haven't done a good ghost hunt in awhile.
Although if anyone does go on a ghost hunt, got a few pointers.
- Don't go looking for ghosts, go looking for a way to disprove ghost sightings.(TAPS may be fake, but they have a solid way to ghost hunt, it makes any unexplainable evidence that much more rewarding)
- Don't go ghost hunting with people who claim to be psychics, people who use dowsing rods to find ghosts, or with people who cast spells. They are all idiots.
- Orbs do not equal ghosts. Orbs are a natural phenomenon, they are just balls of energy.
- If there is paranormal activity, feel free to taunt it. Piss it off to get a reaction. It may try to harm you depending on the type of haunting, but no worries.
