Denny O'Neill was the man who is credited for giving Optimus Prime his name has died age 81.

He also did a lot of work for Marvel and DC he is most famous for writing the famous Green Lateran/Green Arrow: Hard Traveling Heroes which revived the Green Arrow and he also revived a character called Batman (both runs with artist Neal Adams) making him the dark knight detective. He work on The Amazing Spider-Man as well.

He also worked on TV shows like G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and Batman: The Animated Series.

So Rest in Peace Mr. O'Neill and thanks for the memories.
