This is really sad. I think the stroke he had a few years ago really shortened his life even though he was already in his 70's when it happened. I hope they keep his name on New Year's Rockin' Eve to commemorate him. I live about an hour away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they're supposed to have an exhibit all on him soon, including the microphone he used on American Bandstand. They said it's likely he'll even be inducted in the Rock Hall as a non-performer in the near future. Kind of cool. You don't see TV show hosts nominated often.
