Are you just now getting those “Debud Error” messages? I’ve been getting hit with them since Friday.

ERB said he’d talk to Ryan about them. He said it had something to do with the PHB Code, and he couldn’t do anything about it on his end so Ryan will have to take care of it. As it stands now, if I am logged in, I can’t read or post into any thread that was started within the past month, even ones that I started. I can read them if I am not logged in, ut obviously can’t post, and if I log in to post, I get the “Debug Error” message again.

I liked the cunning moinker who asked in the Parts Forum if anyone knew about making a custom table. Asphalt came up with a decent response, but when I checked out the thread I noticed that the text of the message had various highlighted bits. Turned out they went to pr0n sites...

I was about to delete this one, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it, and I don't want to get rid of it if "Archangelos-Popa" is a genuine poster.

The post just says hello, and says this is a nice forum, which is exactly the kind of thing we've been getting from some spammers. But I didn't see any links in the text or sig, and his profile (which often links to some dodgy blog or pr0n site or somesuch) just goes to Google. Any pointers?

Fairy nuff. I just wasn't sure, since most spambots are advertsing some pr0nsite, or drugs, or something - this one didn't seem to have any purpose at all.

I've seen a few do that. I don't know if they're testing to see if they can post, or what. One hit my forum, and asked if it was okay to use an animated gif for an avatar, as well as posting a spam thread. I think they're trying to look like normal people, or something.

I've come up against something odd that only seems to apply to the spambots.
A couple of times I've noticed a 'new' post on the front page of the forum, when the forum isn't highlighted as having new posts, and the most recent poster is always a spambot.
When I go into the forum to check it out and delete it, I can't find the thread, but when I click on the last post icon on the front page, it takes me to it.

Okay, we had one just went too far this afternoon. I was having a quick browse at work this afternoon (it was lunchtime, I wasn't slacking off!), and the spambot known as "homevideo" or somesuch actually made a post with pictures of BJs and stuff. Needless to say that thread didn't last long...
