There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Armada Sideways was an awesome toy and I wish he had more articulation.
Come to think of it it's kind of weird that of the Armada molds I got, I ended up with both Headmasters - Sideways and Ultra Magnus. Though would Ultra Magnus/Overload fit a Brainmaster more? If so kudos to HasTak for sticking all the weird -master gimmicks in one line since some were Targetmasters and all were Powermasters. Maybe this is why I didn't find Headmasters as weird when I found out about them, the ones I knew were either cool characters or turned into huge shoulder cannons.

Cybertron Sideways I also got and is one of the few toys I still have today... unfortunately without his two swords, which makes his alt-mode just a few shades too dumb for my liking. I guess the faction changing was just a big thing for me.

I quickly read that as "Armada Sideswipe" and I was going to give you grief about liking one of the worst molds EVER.

The Headmaster gimmick may not have been perfect ("Put your legs up in the air! Put your legs up in the air!" but I think most of us over-looked that because he was a good character.

I kinda wanna get the Sideswipe mold one day, if only to truly experience how bad he is and cry in frustration :D

Funny thing is I didn't even know about the character until much later. I just thought he was a cool toy and enjoyed the devil-horn headmasters~

I have the Cybertron Runamuck version of the Armada Sideswipe mold. It's definitely the worst Transformers mold ever produced in my opinion.

I don't agree, we got things worse than that, before and after. (especially after).
But it's the worst of the unicron trilogy, without any doubts.

What mades him a special case however, is the fact it's broken by design.
Lot of "bad" transformers usually have a good design, broken during the realisation.

This one was broken enven during the concept. With the initial concept, there's was no chance to produce a good toy. (3 gimmicks on a single deluxe toy.. definitely too much )

However, that's also why I can forgive him a little bit, because it's broken due to all the gimmicks.

There's some toys broken for absolutely no reason other than laziness. Let's talk about Beast machines Silverbolt. This one is only laziness, there's no reason for being broken, contrary to Sideswipe.
I hate lot of TF much more than Sideswipe.

Weapon: Battle Blades
I'm late to this thread just like I was late to the "Unicron Trilogy". Got into it during Cybertron but never looked back. It introduced so much good stuff to the franchise. The concept of Cybertronian colonies was gripping to me back then, so it's likely no surprise that I'm loving what IDW's doing with it. Then there were the awesomely named ships, cool sounding terms like "The Omega Frequency", and a version of Soundwave that stepped right off the set of You Got Served while still being voiced by Garry Chalk thus creating one of the great dichotomies between actual person and character being played of all time.

Yeah, Garry Chalk Competitive Street Dancer DJ Soundwave is entirely underrated.

How many would execute me if I said I preferred Garry Chalk's Optimus to Peter Cullen's? Because I do. I prefer Chalk.

I think he did a fantastic job. To me, Cullen is G1, no argument. I won't say one is better than the other because they're different iterations.

Chalk proved he can bring an iconic character, though a different iteration, to life just like Kaye with Megatron.

Hell yeah! The Unicron Trilogy was my jam as a kid. I'd love to see some more love for UT designs in Generations- if we got an updated Armada Demolishor I could die happy (assuming they did it right of course).
