Hi,
I still have all my old G1 tapes, however I'm kind of interested in the DVD set.
Problem is, I've read some negative critique about it (additional animation/colouring mistakes, new stock sounds, etc.) and I don't want that. My question is, are there any other releases, true to the original series in English? I've been out of the loop. Thanks!

TF G1 - the FIRST and the BEST.
My box-set arrived today (and what a cool box!) I've only watched three so far but they all seemed fine. Thanks Skull!

Madman's boxset.
I've watched quite a few more episodes, everything seems to be in order. I have only two notes.
One, they left out the season 1 opening. They used the right theme song but with the 2nd season opening. And two, they should have probably arranged some of the episodes (Child's Play/The Gambler; The Revenge of Bruticus/Aerial Assault) in the correct chronological order.
But neither is a deal breaker, I love this box set!
(It's odd that they didn't remove the commercial bumper from some episodes though, considering that they are all available in the bonus material, and that there are no commercial breaks in DVDs.)
Oh, and it's very cool that the Public Service Announcements were included, I didn't even know they existed.

Re: Madman's G1 DVD boxset
Note: I just watched "Transport to Oblivion," which had the correct opening animation. Some 1st episodes have it, some have the 2nd season animation. So it's definitely in the set.
Man, this DVD set is awesome. And the art, animation, designs, characters and voices are still superior to everything else on TV.
