No. Don't anyone explain it. Just leave him to wonder 'what the HELL?' and carry on with your business.

That is...unfathomable. That insanity was unfathomable. As is illustrated. *shudders*

That was probably Galvatrons strangest moment. Though I have to wonder about the scrip writers who came up with it.

Probably looked at one of the alternate endings in the script for the original movie. The ending in question was the one where Prime combined with Cybertron and transformed to fight Unicron.

I'm glad Cybertron never transformed. Sure the idea of planet sized robots fighting seems cool, but can you imagine the devastation? Cities build on joints being torn in half during the transformation, whole provinces wiped with every punch, and the poor guy whose house was built on a gods crotch...

Aside from Cybertron being populated, at the time of that proposal, Unicron was also inhabited by the Quintessons. The fact that both planets would need to be evacuated for this to work is probably why this idea got axed. (And left it to be used on Transformers: Energon 20 years later)Uncrazzimatic wrote:I'm glad Cybertron never transformed. But getting back to topic. My guess is that Galvatron went mad because he life long quest for power went up in smoke when he was turned into Galvatron and then Unicron got destroyed. If you are still keeping with the original proposals, of course.
As Megatron he could attain his ultimate power if he was near a black hole. He could draw power from it, us it on his Fusion Canon and generate ultimate power from it. As a powersource it would be a near endless supply without limit. But the chances of using this power while being near a blackhole is slight at best.
According to the original bio, Galvatron no longer drew his power from a black hole, but from Unicron himself. In one of the original proposals, Ultra Magnus needed to draw Galvatron away from Unicron to make him weaker to finally defeat him. So now imagine you have even greater power than was ever possible by drawing power from a black hole, but the only source to power this ability has been destroyed.
So you have this character who went from one of the greatest power that could hardly ever be used to gaining the ability of being ever more power but NEVER being able to use it... I'd say he would have reasons to be pissed...

Well, I think he went mad because his toy's face was coloured in with charcoal.

I think he was insane because he couldn't stand his new voice. And because he spent too much time in the plasma pools.................
I love the way he destroyed that planet when he left, he may have done it just for fun or to show off his strength but I like to think he did it to ensure he would be the first, last & only ruler of that world.

What no one knows is, like Odin, Galvatron could see the future.
And he saw 7-4-07.
Insanity explained.

Eh, I guess I might as well tell anyone who's completely mystified by it, cause I'd want to know too if I didn't. Minor Headmasters plot point(but not really):
First of all, that DID NOT ACTUALLY HAPPEN. That was just a computer simulation. If I remember right, Galvatron's plan was to merge with Cyberton to become the most powerful being in the Galaxy, compareable to Unicron. But, the plan never came to fruition.

Technically it was Earth as
HUGE SPOILOR FOR HEADMASTERS!!!!
Cybertron was destroyed in an earlier ep.
In the singapore tv dubs, he was gonna rename himself Unicorn. Now that's wacky.
Personally, I think it was a good plan. He just didn't make a very good image. If he fattened up his limbs and head to be in proportion, it would have looked fine.

I can't imagine Galvatron cared too much about the aesthetics. I mean, would you challenge a chap whose body was a planet?

He cant even rub his belly. Just stand on it, drill in a hole, lob down a couple of nukes, and watch the fireworks. What's he gonna do, flail his arms at me?

Ah, didn't realize it occurred after that event. Even though I've seen Headmasters a few times, the video quality of my copies are quite poor, and some of the episodes kind of run together in my mind.

That, and out of spite, obviously.
