Profile: Galvatron of the Darklands hails from the ancient past of Cybertron, where he first emerged as one of Megatronus' most powerful warriors. Taking part in Megatronus' and Liege Maximo's crusade against the other Primes, Galvatron rose to fame during the First Cybertronian Civil War between the Thirteen Primes, becoming known as a hero for his part in defeating Nexus Prime's Headmasters. After Megatronus fled Cybertron, his empire collapsed and his followers went their own ways; Galvatron became notable for deserting his post in Megatronus's faltering army in order to wage a personal crusade against the Headmasters of Nexus Prime. Managing to hunt down Nexus Prime Galvatron became the first non-Prime to kill a Prime. The realization that a Prime could be killed by someone other than another Prime caused most of the remaining Primes to flee the planet.

After Galvatron's victory in the Battle of Aegiax, he was approached by Alpha Trion, who offered to give him everything he ever wanted. Alpha Trion revealed to Galvatron that he was one of the Thirteen Primes and requested Galvatron's help in uniting Cybertron. At Trion's urging, Galvatron traveled to Prima's Citadel of Light only to find it beset by the bestial forces of Onyx Prime. Joining forces with Nova Major, the two beat back the entire army, forging a friendship and inspiring a legend. After the other remaining Prime, Onyx Prime, left the planet, Alpha, Nova, and Galvatron began Cybertronian civilization anew - starting a succession of events that eventually came to known as the Golden Age of Cybertron. Galvatron was among those present when Nova Prime rediscovered Crystal City, along with Omega Supreme. He later accompanied Nova Prime's expedition on the first Ark, part of Prime's dream of expanding Cybertronian domination throughout the cosmos.

Unconquerable, arrogant, powerful and ruthless, Galvatron is convinced he has a higher calling to the point of recklessness. Despite of his arrogance and often compassionless behavior, he is not beyond showing mercy or kindness when it serves his purposes and allows him to keep the facade of lies and manipulation that serves his quest to reach his long-term goals, whatever those may be. At his worst, he can be blind to all but his lust for power; his whims and desires can be sacrificed in a moment's rage. It is his unpredictability and his casual disregard for any and all life that strike such horror in friend and foe alike

Abilities: Galvatron's strength and resistance to damage and pain are legendary. He possesses enough strength to pulverize a Cybertronian into scrap metal with his bare hands. Galvatron's primary weapon is his particle accelerator cannon, mounted on his right arm, which can fire blasts of assorted types, including electrochemical energy and particle beams. His fighting skills - forged through countless battles over his extremely long lifetime even by Cybertronian standards rival those of the very best the current generation of Cybertronians have to offer. Whether he is forced to fight unarmed or is equipped with a pathblaster, sword or an axe, Galvatron is equally comfortable in going to a battle. While he can use his particle accelerator cannon in all of his modes, it is only his cannon form that allows the utilization of the weapon's true destructive potential.
