Did some research and the original Ice viper came with a vehicle called the Woif (Winter Operational Light Fighting Vehicle) and now you know.

It is really interesting to see how many different types of vipers there are in g.i. joe universe and which ones people think are worth updating. I would love to know just how many different types of vipers there are.

I'm on this topic just because of my interest in the motorcycle that transforms into armor from the extended movie line, but as a kid I only had Snake Eyes and the viper that came with the HISS tank. I always wanted SciFi and, for vipers, I always wanted the Alley Viper. Something about the urban combat stuff seemed very cool to me.

Met Larry Hama earlier today. He signed my comics (including GI Joe #21) and drew me a Snake Eyes sketch! Such a nice guy.




What was strange is that Larry's sketch is nearly identical to Tim Seeley's sketch drew for mew 2 years ago.

Very cool, and that is an odd coincidence about the pictures.

Just came across these accessories by Urban Revolution Toys. The guy makes clothing for the 3.75 inch figures. It makes these GI Joe almost look and feel like the original 60s line with different outfits.

Maybe it's the novelty of having a GI Joe character actually put his hands in his pockets but I think they're pretty neat.

I have a question for those that own the new Night Raven. I had the original back in the day and everytime I see the new one in stores I have a hard time not adding it to my shopping cart. Nostalgia I guess.

Is this jet worth it? Just how large is it? The only old vehicle I still have is the Python Patrol Conquest, how does it comapare size wise it? I've been trying to stick to just buying the figures lately, but as I said before, nostalgia is waring away at me.

I saw a handle on the bottom of the jet, is it removable/how does it look if it is folded back?

It is not removable and folds seamlessly into the bottom of the jet. It's a nice little feature that they added in although I'm not sure how durable the lock and load action is.

Yesterday Found Flash and a second Pitt Commando. Also a Cobra Eel witch I grabbed with Deep Six, so Cobra Deep Six is now within my army.

Just requested my BBTS POL to ship so I should have my Cobra Island sets next week.

Quite simple really, As I am currently the only earner (my GF lost her job in june and has yet to get another)I have been concentrating on the basis money issues, however last week I was able to re juggle my finances, and including clearing a chunk of my Visa.

With those done, and with an extra paycheque coming next month, I am picking up a few bits and pieces I've held off on, including the Island packs, and seeing my Fansproject Trailer is still sitting there, I posted to ship all. It would have been better had the trailer arrived a day before when I had my POL shipped with the FP Superion add-ons and the Joes from the 25% sale. But then I likely would have the Island packs waiting until my other pre-orders are ready around December.

Of course with all would have gone differently had I just preorder the Island packs to begin with, but then I would only have grabbed the defense pack. The attack pack is being bought more as the single defence pack is unavailable and as a bit of a lark due to the Cobrafied orientation of my collection.

I know this is right, but it seems like General 'Joe' Colton should be in there too, and GI Jane, or whatever they called her.

Very True TT24, but the work around is simply that Colton is the original GIJoe, while the 13 are the original members of the GIJoe Unit. Both are right, but it would have made a lot of sense if they had been included at that time.

13 original Joes, 13 original Transformers, that number pops up a bit.

Bought the 25th Anniversary B.A.T. which I'm pretty happy about because it had been one of my most wanted, if not my most wanted Joe figure. I was kind of hoping to get it as part of that set that comes with an Arise, Serpentor, Arise DVD, but it seems unlikely I'll ever find that so I decided to just go for it. Seeing as I also figure I'm unlikely to see a proper Serpentor for some time, I got the "Combat Heroes" Beachead/Serpentor cobo while I was there.

Well, the Q&A's are rolling in today, I got an answer to a question I asked!

Me: In the original toy line, why was the Alley Viper given such a odd color scheme? The Night-Viper and a few of his other fellow Cobras from that year had less "outlandish" colors, so why did the urban specialists wear orange and blue?

Hasbro: In all honesty, none of us were here when those figures were originally designed so it is hard to say for sure. One theory is that G.I. Joe has always been a reflection of Pop culture of the time. In 1989 when the Alley Viper was released, bright neon colors were very cool. From a military standpoint it could be inferred that as these were Cobra urban specialists they were not meant to blend in, but rather to be so obvious as to be intimidating.

Well I got the assault/defense of Cobra island sets as well as the wave 5 vehicles on wednesday. The Crimson Hydra with PP Baroness today. Ordered the complete Joe set yesterday, should be here Monday or Tuesday; and now you know.
