I have been considering buying a newer generation console recently. Transformers was only one of the reasons really, but I was curious if anyone has played the new game? Supposedly it also has more plot information. Is it any good?

I thought it was a bad game, as with most movie tie in games (with the exeption of Escape from Butcher Bay, was an awesome game)

Rent it first.. But be warned

Rent it first...good idea. i have it for the PS3. I have 46" sony bravia XBR3 and still, the graphics are like IGN says 'less than meets the eye'

I do admit I hated this game at first. but since seeing the movie, i've begun playing it again and beat it today using the decepticons. Be warned too...the G1 Megatron in this game is a dissapointment.

And to all those who thought Frank Welker should have voice Megatron in the movie...listen to his voice in the game. It sounds like a Megatron who is ready to cash in his Social Security Checks.

Though admittedly, they could easily remedy that with computers these days.

Yeah, I didn't hear the greatest reviews on the game but I wanted to make my own critique on the game... of course my 360 crapped out when I tried to play it. Red Ring of Death! AAAAARGH!!!

Go to CNN.com. Microsoft is paying out over $1B to fix these things. Glad I bought the PS3

Though i'll ge the elite when halo 3 comes out.

i have it for ps3. its not really that bad i like it better than the armada game that came out for ps2. the whole idea of the game is kinda like....spiderman? where u have free roam but u have to get to a certain part. as ur free roaming u meet up with bad guys trying to stop u. they could've made the game better but to be honest for what it was it is a good game. i beat it on decepticon, on the jazz mission for the autobots and im trying to collect all the symbols to unlock some stuff

Got my 360 fixed (towel treatment: free and easy to do. Google it.) and I played the game thoroughly. I'd have to give it a 6.5. At first it was really fun just blasting the crap out of everything, but there just wasn't nearly enough content. Pros: Great graphics, smooth gameplay, and the ability to play as your favorite movie Transformers. Cons: Both campaigns together still make for a short game, bonus missions are not worth playing, and unlock just aren't worth the trouble especially since the game has cheats. The game showed so much promise too, maybe if they'd made more sandbox and not so linear and if they thew a multiplayer deathmatch into the mix it would probably be a much better game.

I have it for the Wii and I enjoyed it. The way they used the Wii controller could have used some work, but the graphics are impressive for the Wii and I just love how fun it is.

Be warned, G1 Optimus is a dissapointment too.

I just got done beating it for the wii and it was very short. The camera angle blows and the storie is weak. The game felt rushed. If you want a good transformers game try the one for the ps2. Transformers. Im sure everyone has played it.

It's a definite rent but a no no as a buy.

It's cool seeing video game exclusive characters though like Shockwave.

I am soooooooooo pleased with how the movie came out. It was fantastic and would not change a thing. Anyone who has a problem with it cant really be that big of a transformers fan to begin with. I hear some people complaining that the whole movie didnt take place on cybertron. Who cares!!!!!!!! The movies story was great because it took place on earth. You have the autobots and there relationship that grows with the humans and some very fun characters that made this movie top notch. It was all i wanted and more. Bring on part 2!

It's a renter, unless you enjoy being able to transform something at a touch of a button whenever you want, and racing around, over and over. There are some exciting levels, and there are lots of little cut scenes, then back to action, which really keep you in the action of the game.

I bought it because I want to be able to transform Ironhide whenever I want! But it is very short and the constant up and down camera when you are running gets on my nerves eventually.

Yeah, I was suprised to see Shockwave in the game. His cannon almost looks like the old GI Joe FLAK cannon.

I've been playing the game like mad since the movie. Hated it before the movie came out, funny how that happens. now if i could just find the last energon cube in soccent air base i'll have all 800!
