Have you designed a transformer?
I like the look and feel of it. If you want to improve it, draw him bigger to have more space for details. It'll be easier to draw car part then. Longer legs and smaller head would help too. (Unless you want him to look very young)

shoot when I was a kid I had an army ^_^
I had Scooter... the well... Motorized Scooter.
Then I had this Tanker Truck like Astrotrain or Scourge in RID. It was cool, they tanker part could seperate and look like wings. Then I had my own Jet. He was kick tail.

Hi Everyone!
Figured this would be as good a place as any for my very first post (YAY!)
Anyhoo, having had my inner 8 yr old reawakened by the TF movie, I thought I'd take a crack at reimagining myself as a Transformer...Here's the concept sketch, which I am VERY slowly translating into 3D

got home from dinner with friends tonight, and decided to remodel the face a bit (mostly minor changes to how the eyes work)

made the eyes so the "pupil" can dialate (well, its actually the whole iris, but anyway) - a LOT of character animation relies on emotion being expressed through the eyes (they are the "windows to the Soul" after all), the human brain regeisters all those tiny little involuntary movements triggered by internal thought processes, so I wanted to make sure Ol' Sentry Prime would be capable of expressing himself!!

The Software is Lightwave by Newtek - it's at the cheaper end of the scale, but that being said that's still around $900 !!
- however I do believe they have a free trial version available to download.
if you're interested, you can find out more here:

Oh, and Sherade - Originally he was going to be a Ford F250, but my friend talked me out of it (apparently I'm not that overbearingly obnoxious), then a '96 Toyota Corolla (the car I actually drive)...in the end I settled on the Tundra because while it's not overbearing, it's still a lil bit beefy (like me), and it had a front grille suitable for the transformation process I visualised...mind you, it wouldn't take much to send me spiraling into a complete redesign (and drive my wife nuts for another 2 months!!)

$900 is just a little out of my price range.....
Buty, I can tell it works, but whether it's worth it isn't really shown until you're done. Take your time, because we want something amazing.
And come on, the F-250 isn't that overbearing, is it?
You know, I have a strange hankering for making an F-250 Supercheif Tf now....to the sketchbook with me!

C'mon! the F250 Superchief Concept truck is too easy! it already looks like a Transformer!!
What about a Ford 4-trac Fembot? you could get some nice design elements going on, maybe have the headlight/front end lift up (think: movie Ironhide) but then press together to form her chest / breasticles...hmmm getting some ideas myself...

Must..resist...rude...comment....
I don't really like the 4-trac so much.
How about the ford Interceptor..or Reflex..or Fairlane...or Pinto..or Maverick...or Fiesta....or Ranger...or Torino...or RX-8. Or maybe even another Mustang.

Of course I've designed a TF. Two of them to be exact, hehe.
Here is my Mirage (not finished yet):
And here's my Megatron (also not finished):
I've designed several transforming robots, as well as several redesigns of established TFs. Outside of what I posted in this thread http://www.seibertron.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9674&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=, most everything else is on my dA page.
