Cool beans, another paranormal buff. We had a thread of paranormal things awhile back, but it seemed to get lost among the pages.

Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
Before I moved, I'd hear weird noises throughout the night, and sometimes I'd see something move out of the corner of my eye.

I knew for a very long time that the house was haunted.

When we were almost finished moving (I think all we had to do was sweep and wash the dirty counters and floors, because we would get an extra $1000 for it) me, my sisters, and everyone there with us could swear we heard what sounded like a little girl singing.

That would be a Class 2. you should try talking to it. Most ghosts need someone to talk to. Or you should ask it politely to stop singing...if problems ensue, well...I'd suggest you come back here(I think better under fire, it's not my fault...)...

Well, before you can even classify anything. You do need to rule out stuff. Plus calling things like 'class 2' makes an investigator seem hokey like they're ghostbusters.

The singing, in all honesty could be a child singing elsewhere.

It doesn't have to be paranormal. The noises, seeing things out of the corner of the eye, hearing the singing. Before you even call it paranormal, you really should try to see if it's not any normal events.

To say "oh, thats a class 37 and you should (insert whatever here)" one really should see if it's just not loose pipes making the noise, unshielded wires giving off a high EMF making people feel paranoid ect.

Because what could be ghostly footsteps, could easily be loose piping giggling and hitting the floor(or in most cases ceiling).

I agree with hugo. it could be a bug seen out of the side of your eye and a creaky, old building. The singing could, as hugo said, be someone singing. My older bro, the paranormal weathercaster, is quick to conclusions.

Each Halloween me, my brother and his friend would all stay up late at night, but we had to do it the night BEFORE halloween, since we had school the day after.
At exactly midnight, the 31st of October, Halloween, my friend chipped his tooth, I thought "Ooh, Spooky!" then my foot begun to swell, imagine seeing you own foot begin too lose all feeling, not numbness, worse than that, and slowly begin to swell like a red balloon, all of my energy was getting sucked into my foot, leaving me dizzy and powerless.
I just went to bed, thought if I left the foot it would go away, Wrong, my entire left leg had swollen up, the sight of it made me vomit.
I couldn't stand for over 2 months almost, I hadn't eaten either, survived on IRN BRU and cola really, and some few scraps of chicken and chicken gravy. The doctors were baffeled, I wish I had House as my doctor actually. I still have the leg swollen, some of it is just fattened and stretched and a few swollen lumps. My trousers would barely fit over the leg when I went back to school, and they were baggy! I was brushed off with Lymphatic Oedema, and given medication which didn't work, and eventually a sock which only worked when I exercised, which is almost impossible. I go out when I can now, but I'm slightly agoraphobic now, and with all the shootings in England now I'm very afraid to leave the house.

Why would it happen as the clock hit Halloween? No one asks that question apart from me. Some Ghost curse me? Or just coincidence. I haven't believed in Ghost's, UFOs and **** like that since I was 16 and started watching Penn & Teller.

Well, there are more questions than just "why did it happen as the clock hit midnight"

like where in the UK do you live

are you allergic to anything

what did you have that night food/drink wise?

when did this actually happen(year)

were you bitten by anything?

all that other stuff

I'm sure the doctors would have found out if it was an allergic reaction or something like that, but they have missed something you never know.

Also, as for the whole Amityville house thing. I dunno, the house may be haunted, but I don't seem to recall many people actually doing investigations of it, nor sharing evidence ect.

Yeah I prefer the other thread too. Had a lot cooler stuff. Plus, I'm pretty sure Fonzie told me it was "uber leet."

Anyway, I'm by no means an expert, however I'm pretty damned good.

My qualifications.

23 years old

been studying the paranormal since 3rd grade, ghosts, ufo's ect.

I expose myself to anything paranormal/occult when I get the chance. Books, movies, documentaries.

I read, a lot. Books on ghosts, books on aliens, books on "magick," books on parapsychology, books on psychology, books on cryptozoology, books on anything I can get my hands on involving the subject matter.

I do experiments, I dabble here and there. Not idiot B-movie type meddling, where I end up unleashing some horror upon the earth.

But I dabble, and in worst case scenario, I know how to undo what I'm doing. Or how to deal with something bad I come across. Be it person, ghost, or demon.

I investigate houses, nothing major, I've only done a couple places at the moment due to my camera sucking balls. The places were houses of friends who say they have stuff in em. Nothing from any evidence I gathered suggested they had anything.

I take a scientific approach to anything paranormal. I try to rule out everything normal before going to the paranormal. No sense in scaring the crap out of someone by saying their house is haunted when it could easily be a window left open, or a furnace acting up.

I don't trust psychics, people who go out looking for ghosts, or people who just go out to get a fright.

Plus, again, I read. I read more than a normal person should on the subject.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to mention what I've actually seen. (in my current place of residence) I've seen a large white shadow pass in front of me moving down the hall. I've also seen a bipedal two-foot tall creature, which ended up having a staring match with me as it peeked from around the corner of the room and back again. While sitting on the porch talking to friends, I frequently saw a figure moving out of the corner of my eye near our firepit which had nobody around it, the others on the porch had seen something similiar. What I've felt, there is a lot, but I don't go on feelings as any evidence. Plus there is no real way to explain it.

Voices in my room, spoke my name in my ear until I asked them to stop, and gave them what basically amounts to "visiting hours" for my room. Voices in the house, footsteps.

It's freakin' awesome.

Just over a week ago I was in Tasmania and I went on the POrt Author ghost tour...and saw nothing.
They told us some pretty good ghost stories though.
They've said they get mostly encounters of classes 2-4 and sometimes 5 with a dash of 1 thrown in.

Here's some for you. Don't know if its supernatural but it can't be explained. I'm pretty self-critical and often attribute my experiences to being 'all in my head'. But sometimes, only in certain locations, I see small black shadowy shapes moving out of the corner of my eye. I will stay still when I see them, and watch for them again. Sure enough there they go. When I look directly at them, they are gone. I considered having my eyes examined, until one time I saw them again, and my wife was in the room with me and she asked if I just saw a dark shape move in the corner of the room. I said yes. Sometimes I will enter an empty room, and see a person, dressed, humanoid, looking elsewhere, they see me and vanish, kind of in a fast blur. I guess I surprised them. I only see them for the duration of a blink, but I see them. I could tell you what they wore and what color it was. When I am sleeping, I will awaken for no reason, only to have someone knock at the door or to have the phone start ringing. There is a creepy building where I work, where you will hear doors in the basement open and close, yet there is only one way down there and you can see if anyone leaves. I have gone down there to find no one else there. Co-workers have heard it too, and got spooked. In another building in the same area, I have heard someone say my name as I walked down the hall, but when I stopped and looked in that direction... nothing. This usually happens in the pre-dawn hours, I clean buildings at 5 am, the buildings are locked when I get there, and I am the first one in. Yet I am not alone.
