I'd buy it, but isn't the story arc supposed to end with the end of Season 3?

There are so many loose ends I don't think they can finalize everything. The Allspark fragments, where Sari came from, what's going to happen to Ultra Magnus, the Decepticons that are still on the loose. There's no way they can wrap up all that in 1 episode, so there's still plenty of material to continue it.

I personally think Hasbro is pretty stupid if they cancel this without at least giving us a follow-up. But, there could also be factors outside of their control, as well. Can't imagine Cartoon Network wanting to drop it.

I will be crushed if they do. However, I get it if there are deals between Hasbro, the movie studios, and CN to pump out as much exclusive movie stuff as possible to coincide with the release. If I am Hasbro, I guess I'd hold up on all my other TF toylines until the movie hype starts petering out, then I inject Animated in while TF's are still somewhat fresh in people's minds and just in time for Christmas.

Not to mention that what Animated has let us see is a very small part of any universe(there were cameos, but every character had very small screentime), it could be widened into anything.

An hour long movie AND a supplimental comic would be nice.

Instead of season 4 I want season 0, which would be stories that take place before the events in Season 1.

Also, a season 3.5 comic which bridges the gap between TF:A series 2. Yes. I'd like the next Animated TV offering to be a second series running chronologically on the heels of TF:Animated. Sort of like Armada got Energon.

I wish they would hurry up and just say something already.

Is animated going to conintue on as a season 4 or is this really the last of animated.

Will it continue on in some other fashine maybe like a spin-off deal or a direct continuation like a trilogy.

Maybe that is why all these new character designs are floating around they wouldnt be out there if they werent plan on using them in some form or another.

So my hope is on another contination, season 4 , or spin-off.


But I bet the next series will have nothing to do with animated and will be brand new and in a new direction.


God please just come out and give us the details man.

...I'm gonna hold my breathe until they stop the cancellation! I know it's a little melodramatic, but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do...

I'm hoping they tell us something at Botcon. More than likely that will be when we find out. Cancellation or no, I feel that whatever happens, Animated has shown us that toymakers have come far enough to create a figure that does EXACTLY what it's onscreen counterpart does. They've set the bar for future Transformers toys, IMO.

Whatever comes next has to live up to that. Sadly, it is NOT that way with the movie toys.

When is Botcon? I thought it came and went? Didn't they just announce that new network? And how little are they listening to fans? At the very least they could say something. Like this is it, or it isn't. How irritating and frustrating.

Botcon for '09 is May 28-31. So, a little over a week to go.

Out of curiosity, why are we worrying that Animated may get canceled?

Have you heard different? That's been the rumor for a while.

Lets see why are we worryied about animated getting canceled gees lets see about that now.

Umm for starters tomorrow is the last episode in season 3.

They have been nothing said or anything about continuing beyond that.

There has been no interviews in a long time about animated future just that season 3 was going to be 13 episodes long they didnt mention anything beyond that.

The Episode Is Called "ENDGAME" in Star Trek Voyager and in Beast Machines it served as a series ender for both of the shows.


I got an email saying that they are canceling animated and they have no plans to make additional seasons beyond 3.

I have no proof of this cause I deleted the email along time ago and I dont know how to post up the proof to back up my claim.

I got the email from one of the guys who works on it but it could have been just an mis-leading campaign to throw me off about season 4.

Like how game makers and game compaines throw us off about new machines or games like we cant make futher comments about this or we cant say anything or we dont know anything about that.

Bam here comes the PSP-4000 or the PSP-2 or the Xbox 360 motion Sensor stuff like that.

Same way with animated it is all a misleading deal.

Botcon is a yearly event, it is were all the news stuff is shown from comics, movies, toys and eventual new series make thier debuts.

Animated made its debut at Botcon. So if any news will be made it will be at Botcon.

Also Botcon is at the end of the Month.

Then we have E3 at June which I am lookin foward to cause I wanna see Mass Effect 2 and Smackdown 2010 make an appearance.


So nothing will be known until Botcon.

They are being very quiet considering tomorrow is the last episode in season 3.

It sucks I dont want animated to end. But like all great things eventually everything must come to an end.

I am tired of tired of the suspense come out and say it already is this the end of animated or isnt it.

Chances are that Animated is done, especially with Hasbro announcing the new channel. I'm also willing to bet that the next Transformer series is already being discussed internaly and most likely had nothing to do with what was crated for Animated. Its a shame really, Animated was really well done, first time in a while I felt like the Transformers universe had some real texture to it. It would be nice if they at least made a follow up movie or miniseries, but deep down I think Endgame is how they end it.

Now that Animated is over & done with, question we have to ask ourselves is...What's the next TF show going to be and when?

I can see them making an announcement at Botcon. Maybe just basic premise or tentative timeline for the new show, but I think we'll find out next week
